lol people complaining when it's another copypaste story but then when a unique and promising story comes up they complain why it's not sugar coated & cheesy romance-- but anw! love this sm, it does have some romance bits and fanservice here and there but it's more of a plot-heavy story! i love the writer's writing, if you enjoyed remarried empress then you'll like this one too although this one has more twists and turns, and more characters with individual stories except romance isn't rlly the main thing here.

lmao the same sex characters have more chemistry with each other than the main couple themself but eee-- im here for the main plot and not the romance, pretty good so far
YHAYS EHFJDKDNFJ that’s what I’m thinking too. I love Hak and Yona but all the pining and pretending not to like each other affects our perception of their relationship. Everyone else gets to interact normally without all this weird subtext and we can actually get to see their relationships grow but Hak and Yona only just now started developing more. I’m crossing my fingers for the storytelling because I love this manga so much and I believe in Author-San
maybe bc im a lesbian but... i find hak to be pretty... bland... so is the whole romance thing but yeah i am also waiting for their rs to develop more + i hope we get to see them be more expressive towards each other.
girl even hak x sowon and yona x lili had much more going on TT
No I get you I’m bi and the comp het is super real in shoujo, but I would rather be pleasantly surprised and not expect the relationships to actually be good lmao.
If you like this author’s style I would check out “Game X Rush” if you haven’t read it already. It’s a shorter story about 2 guys. It’s borderline gay baiting since they don’t actually get together but everyone else but then thinks they should date so that’s something lol.
oh i've already read that one. it was more of a fanservice than a gay baiting for me ngl. it sounds sad but BL is marketed and catered to women, alot of series that are for women put gaibaiting.bl fanservice since it makes the "bussiness go well"
I mean, I’ve seen more lesbian content catered toward men than lesbian women. I’ve also seen American TV shows that make the token “hot girl” bi or a lesbian for fan service (House MD Thirteen is an example) so it goes both ways.
I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing. I’m probably biased since I do enjoy BL content, but I definitely understand the frustration.
I feel good amount of confusion for romantic pairings in media because most of the time it really doesn’t feel like they have any chemistry or interest in each other they are just near each other and end up together in the end.
I brought up a lot of different things here sorry lmao but I really enjoy discussing things like this and seeing how people feel about it.
"I’ve seen more lesbian content catered toward men than lesbian women"
