You know the saying: Either die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself becoming the villain
Also because the main villains tried to turn him over to their side so many times but failed lol
I feel like the flashbacks add more to the meaning of the sacrifices they made and honestly makes the characters more structured for the continuation from the plot where they grab the weapons from the deceased heroes, it's a much needed explanation I do not get the hate.
Same, people are just so braindead and just want constant fights with no meaning
