Each story seems to revolve around a certain fetish or obsession that are very unique honestly. I love js the eerie vibe i got from this whole thing, where even what is seemingly a normal ending still felt off or unresolved. Everything was vague and it took me awhile to understand the stories after multiple re reads but honestly thats the beauty of it- it’s mystique. I rlly liked how creative it all was.

During the parts of the most intense scenes, and they suddenly tried like making it based on their feelings and stuff it js felt so off. As much as I love him, kyles behavior near the end rlly irked me with how a supposed responsible and reasonable man with no trauma like our girl, was the one who acted so immaturely and js weird. It felt like our girl was fighting for the love that she wanted again even tho she already died to it before. Mu who was supposed to be the main character became a side character. NOW MY HOT TAKE.
Lowkey felt like she shldv ended up with Adrian. LIKE IT MAKES SENSE THO LIKE ITS CINEMATIC. A man who was desperate for love and a woman who felt the same way and then wld willingly give it to him. They understood eo so much and like the way their morals when it came to their lovers wld become twisted was like. Maybe not even as lovers but friends who decided to stay tgt instead of her with kyle. I genuinely felt so much tension between them in their scenes, and the way she genuinely healed him from his hurt and he helped her realize and grow out of hers. Im never own to root for the second male lead or whtvr cus im a firm believer in the main couple, but this was truly js missing so much. He was curious abt her despite knowing it wasnt eleanor, and she felt understood by him more than she did by kyle who often left her more confused and disheartened. That was such an amazing and wholesome love story, the representation of women is genuinely so fucking amazing and vast I was genuinely shocked. From a couple who loved each other from the moment they met, a single mom, the og heroine who became her own independent character, an old love that never came true, a couple who took their time to get married and be with each other, and the parents whos love got rekindled. They deadass had it all its amazing. And throughout it all was the men in their lives supporting and loving them- I loved seeing the main couple scheme so many things sometimes behind each others backs, and yet never faltering in their trust and faith when it comes to their love. I absolutely adored their forgiveness to each other for their mistakes and learning to move on after facing their guilt- and their possessiveness was amazing too, I loved seeing the duke be jealous of the og heroine because he sees her- a woman- as competition. They truly understood each other to such a deep level and matched their freaks so hard- that the miscommunication wasn’t even there bcs whatever secret they kept was for their own safety and sake. Im obsessed with the line where he tells her that shld he ever lose his feelings, she should kill him. Like that alone sums up their love. I love this story i was genuinely so at peace.

The worst part abt it is that u can rlly see the good in him creeping up sometimes, but his sick twisted brain and trauma convinced him that Ruby was something he owned, that just bcs he saved her meant he was entitled to her. He knew what his father did was wrong, he knew that she was suffering- yet he cldnt see past the fact that he was also causing her the most pain. All bcs he was genuinely in belief that she loved him and that she understood that all that he was doing was for her own good.
