If y’all confused I would say de-read ch 39. It don’t clear up everything but help me try to understand why Eugene stabbed himself. First off let’s not forget that Eugene overthinks everything. That’s one of his traits that would annoy me in the earlier chapters. Second of all let’s not forget all the trauma he has cuz of the priest. Soemthing similar to Stockholm syndrome. The priest not only killed his parents in front of him, but in his fear to survive he thought he had to live him. Now here comes a new guy into his life, experiences new feelings/emotions. But that other blonde vampire shows up confusing our poor Eugene that his still in the same position he was in when he was under the priest. I guess he wanted freedom a new beginning. Since they’re linked/connected, Primus felt what Eugene did. The priest clearly took that opportunity of weakness/distraction to imprison Primus.
Well that’s how I’m making sense of it. Pretty sure all the other technical aspects will be explain later on. I’m just glad this isn’t a season final, cuz that cliff hanger. I need more. I’m assuming after some time of freedom Eugene realized he wasnt in the same situation with Primus as he was with the priest, and realized he did “love” him? That’s why he came back to save his man & finally complete his revenge on the priest?

i find it ironic that they both became what the other feared. he became the filthy pig she was taught to hate & she became like the "seductive vixens" that killed his father. i find it funny how he fails to realize that he wouldn't have caught her if it weren't for that weak ass pusy of a spy that gave up her name. like literally that was her last day cuz he was "letting her go". like my dude you really did get fooled cuz you didn't catch her. i knew he was suspicious of her and maybe eventually would have caught her. anywho i just discovered this & binged all 36 chapters. damn that backstory. each others first love & trauma that shaped them into the beings they are today. cant wait to see what route this will go. i feel so bad for her though, not only was she pushed/forced into this lifestyle since she was little but everyone around her is failing her. her fiance that pushed into such a risky mission, her "comrade" that ratted her out, and her brother that didn't "rescue"/open her eyes to reality. like my girl you did not have to sacrifice yourself for that pusy ass of a traitor. i need more

her character let me down in the sense that she was gonna be a badass that fights back, but she didn't. like when she had the gun & said she could just fight back, i was like damn she must have been trained like a soldier/spy. but she gave in so easily when she was discovered. like didnt put up a fight or anything. i'm just like how naive was she going into this? i thought since she was sent undercover to the main enemy of the revolutionaries she must be a good spy, but no. i mean now seeing her backstory i understand she's probably traumatized & saw this was the only way to be "loved" by her family.

so ive been waiting to see if they would explain why his skin is black but nothing yet. i was thinking maybe tattoos? i know certain groups do that where they tattoo an entire area black. then i was like besides it being the end of the world, what is this about. i remember i had seen a comment saying maybe he was the reincarnation of a death god? so im like let me google "Sisyphus", i had never heard of him in greek mythology. Apparently he escaped death twice & was punished for eternity. Dont see how that relates to the plot of this story. i did read that he "Sisyphus tricked the god of death into trapping himself, making all humans immortal". so maybe thats the plot of this

Damn I have it bad cuz am I the only one that enjoyed this chapter. I love it when a character thinks they’re getting at the other person but they’re actually not. Like JK thinks he’s getting to him, but he’s over pleasuring his body & giving head for the first time. lol like it’s not the gotchu moment he thinks it is. Like my dude how do you not realize you have it bad. Especially when he said normally if another sex partner was this annoying he would have tossed them out, but he’s over here like “I wonder what it is” (⌒▽⌒) I need more. This tension of jk being frustrated & not knowing what’s causing it
Wtf so he slept with the priest again?! I know he’s probably playing along so he can find Primus, but ugh was that necessary. And what excuse could he have possibly used for the priest to take him back???? Their bond or contract was broken. This time skip is annoying & adding more to the confusion. Like how many days has it been. Cuz okay he stabbed himself and then what? Waited for the seme for days?? And then he learned the priest caught him, but who told him. That other vampire. So then what did he beg the priest to take him back.
This was fucken stupid, he stabbed himself cuz he didn’t want the seme to kill the priest for him. But cuz of his mistake not only did the seme get caught, but he had to sleep with the priest again!!!!! Like ugh this uke be so naive sometimes
He stabbed himself to bind to Dominic but he did it at the wrong time he didn’t know bro
I know he didn’t know Dominic was currently battling. But it doesn’t change the fact that wanted to bind himself cuz he wanted to know what he was doing, to make sure he wasn’t killing the priest. The other vampire was taunting him, telling him he was basically in the same situation like priest but now with Dominic. That’s basically what pushed him to do it in that exact moment
