So we’ve reached the airing dirty secrets bit. I actually thought the author might have Dohu explain here that he wasn’t gathering info to spy on him but to be used for his writing. But I don’t think Dohu realizes that the negative relationship Juheon has with his mom also is that she keeps close tabs on him to use him and control him. So finding the folder on his computer made him think he was approached by another person working for his mom. And not that Dohu wanted to use him as inspiration for his seme
I feel like he feels he was a spy for his mom. I don’t know. I’m pretty sure it’s clear he doesn’t realize he was being used as writer’s material.
Especially with the way he reacted to him mentioning him quitting his job, because that Auntie reported on him to his mom.

I will never not feel cheated that the OG ML is the ML of this life too. Like, I love him, he’s cute, but he coulda just been her brother he could still be with our red headed lady. Justice for Yayul! He deserves to be her ML! I’m so sad! You can’t give us his unique art and not have him be our ML. Cheated I say! Cheated! And Yayul is just more adorable, hands down he deserves love. And I’m just going to forever pout about it.
I mentioned this on another site where I read it first, but I find the side affect of suppressants in this story interesting. It’s the 1st time where the side effect can CAUSE a heat by great physical shock. I like that it’s a bit different from other stories. Usually it’s that they can harm you over time, make it hard to get pregnant/carry a pregnancy to term, stop working over time etc.
Also something I find funny is that in the 10th chapter we have him trying to scare the MC by saying he wants to see him crying but then when he DOES come upon him crying he seems unsure of how to respond lol

I don’t know if it’s because I’m an adult…but If I know beforehand that a story is a noncon - or that a story is very dark “romance” - I don’t mind the troublesome elements. Like I can read it and realize it’s fucked up and enjoy it as a fucked up story. Kind of like when I read horror. I absolutely don’t want to be kidnapped and killed but I can enjoy reading that horror story understanding that’s what it is.
It’s when a story gets portrayed as “normal” that I then get the ick factor. I think this story made the rape very clearly a rape. The male lead wasn’t getting raped and having those “I hate it but I love it” thoughts that a lot of Yaoi will do. I also feel like the male interest was set up as a kind of sociopath with deep perversions. Or some kind of psychopath…
