Communication is always the key. They lack communicating their feelings and honest thoughts, or at least the prince lacks it. He could be more honest why he doesnt want doram to leave and protect him, instead of putting it under the guise of a house arrest. That just makes doram (or even anyone in theat position) to find freedom and escape, all the while seeing the prince as the suppressor

Jinwoo's nightmate might have two sides. One, he associated gunwo to the killing of his father after the murder incident and tthe doctor's story of how gunwo murdered his family. It's how the mind interprets fear, the mind is so strong it could create a whole new memory that doesnt even exist and make you believe its really what happened. Its a trauma response. The second, the nightmare could also be the reality which was triggered after the murder incident. It could be that gunwo really is involved in his father's death but jinwoo forgot about it since it was so painful and he himself was almost half dead (based on early chaps) and therefore he's hallucinating in that state and couldnt understand that it was gunwo who killed his father. Again, his memory loss is a trauma response and the trigger of memories recently is a result of what he has seen and heard guwon do to others.
Tbh i thought doc would do somethingto jinwoo when he mentioned of "guwon's favorite" cause its obvious jinwoo is one of the faves. Until he mentioned the hounds, but obviously doc realizes it too that jinwoo is a special case cause he is favored by guwon despite not being a hound. Really thought he's gonna do some sht to jinwoo there.
I'd like to think that doc lim hopes jinwoo could change guwon in some kinda way seeing that unlike the hounds, jinwoo is pretty much a normal human inside.
The hounds were described as unhinged people and that may be one of the factors why they were chosen for their role. Guwon prolly needed those unhinged mentality (who are also very loyal to him) for the people who go outside the walls to ensure that the community he built will stay intact and protected without any chances of rebellion. Doing this allowed him to keep himself at the center of governing powers in that 'town.'
I also think doc Lim also prolly never planned to use jinwoo against guwon (or maybe not yet? Tho how could he? He knows all of them are doomed if he did something to guwon) but I can also see him cracking up someday and try to harm guwon for what he had done to his family as a form of his own revenge, it will prolly not end well for him tho .
