Uwu long overdue but glad that the mangaka decided to put closure on the non-con on the beginning of the story. Chunta apologizing for all those stuff gave me the closure i needed
One of my favorite is the recurring context in this story of the strong mints chunta takes. I love how it became a symbol of him pushing himself back from expressing his unconditional borderline - obssesive love to saijou, afraid of breaking him with his overflowing emotions. Ever since the flashback of how he fell in lovewith saijou and his first use of stronger mints while falling for him even more, chunta taking mints has been my favorite!! Its not everyday you get to read a manga which uses subtle context like these to show the character's underlying emotions which could not be always captured in the panel.
Now, everytime chunta takes the mints, you know he is suppressing his emotions for saijou and tries to be as gentle as he could, not risking pouring out his overwhelming love which he thinks might be too much for saijou to take. Love it so much!!!
Tbh i thought doc would do somethingto jinwoo when he mentioned of "guwon's favorite" cause its obvious jinwoo is one of the faves. Until he mentioned the hounds, but obviously doc realizes it too that jinwoo is a special case cause he is favored by guwon despite not being a hound. Really thought he's gonna do some sht to jinwoo there.
I'd like to think that doc lim hopes jinwoo could change guwon in some kinda way seeing that unlike the hounds, jinwoo is pretty much a normal human inside.
The hounds were described as unhinged people and that may be one of the factors why they were chosen for their role. Guwon prolly needed those unhinged mentality (who are also very loyal to him) for the people who go outside the walls to ensure that the community he built will stay intact and protected without any chances of rebellion. Doing this allowed him to keep himself at the center of governing powers in that 'town.'
I also think doc Lim also prolly never planned to use jinwoo against guwon (or maybe not yet? Tho how could he? He knows all of them are doomed if he did something to guwon) but I can also see him cracking up someday and try to harm guwon for what he had done to his family as a form of his own revenge, it will prolly not end well for him tho .
What? I thought we just closed the blood wedding arc. You're telling me there's a lot of missing chapters beforeee and i'm now just seeing the actual complete arc????
So essentially, based on the title, the story is about loyalist army of Guwon. The question is, will Jinwo be a part of it or will he be the one standing against them?
