Icchi may have come off as annoying but to me he was a normal, super awkward teenage boy who had a mutual crush on his childhood friend. Even Ayumi realized that they were more like siblings. I thought he was cute, and realistic at how awkward he came across, how his words weren’t coming out the way he wanted them too. My heart broke for him when he was being down on himself for being the way he is. In the end he fell in love with someone he could be himself with and enjoyed being with. This was good! Definitely a different start than most BL’s. The interaction between Icchi and Ayumi brought back some embarrassing flashbacks I experienced with a few crushes ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

I was so conflicted as to who I wanted to see as the uke and seme and I fell into both stereotypes where I want the cute one to be the uke or where I want the tall one to be the seme (don’t come for me tho cause I like the opposite as well) so Rui being both tall and cute confused me but deep down I really wanted Matsu to be the seme and it happened and IT WAS JUST SO DAMN CUTE

RANT ALERT: I just spent hours pulling an all nighter (cause I decided to read it late) catching up with this damn manga, all because I didn’t want to watch the anime. I knew as soon as I saw the trailer, it was going to be cringey af. However, I have this habit of wanting..no, NEEDING, to know how it ends. So I looked up the manga and I read it on manga rock and for fucks sake it was exhausting. I thought it was completed but noooo. I do not want Hina to end up with Natsuo. I didn’t agree with that relationship from the very beginning. I loved Rui right of the bat from episode 1. All the other girls can suck it and here’s why. It pisses the hell out me when I see a girl confess to a guy that is in a relationship. It is extremely disrespectful and not at all cute with the damn state of mind “I just want to tell you how I feel so I can move on”. NO. You already ventured into that persons brain when you confessed. You already made an impact by confessing, even if they don’t feel the same way. I would’ve been fine if Sei Miyabi whatever her name is confessed after the break up, but this girl was straight up ready to seduce Natsuo in his apartment UNINVITED, knowing damn well he has a girlfriend. That’s just fucking pathetic, rude af, unclassy, disrespectful...I lost all respect for her. DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON NATSUO. Boiiii you need some time to yourself, no girls, not even Hina cause her mind ain’t focused on family bonding. Rui was my main girl, only because she recognized that the relationship was becoming toxic in a way where their jealousy and trust was taking over what was important and distracting their goals, and she had the balls to end it, knowing full well there’s all these vultures ready to pounce on Natsuo any chance they get. At this point I don’t care who he ends up with (as longest it’s not fucking Hina, I swear I’m gonna flip so many damn tables), and I would love for Rui to end up with that other chef guy cause that shit would be fucking cute. You know what can we just get a new girl character? One who won’t start drama and everyone likes and is super sweet and will literally make Natsuo not able to even blush when a girl with big honkers comes rubbing up on him cause she’s all he can think of and cares about. Natsuo is a good guy, he never actually wavered when another girl came, however you could see his reactions and they were just unsettling to see, and they weren’t even the innocent “she kissed me” reaction, they were straight up lustfull reactions. Idk how to describe but it was just uncomfortable. He deserves happiness too, just not with Hina or Rui for that matter. But let’s be real he’s probably gonna end up with fucking Hina. Fuck this manga. Not the author tho, cause I respect anyone that can make me rant for this long, and hate fictional characters that I’ll never meet.

Just like you I hated Hina from the start and Rui has been my main girl and I have wasted fucking DAYS reading this, practically predicting every single "plot twist" and then I get to the fucking break up with Rui, And I'm just (╯°Д °)╯╧╧. You gotta be fucking kidding me, fuck this shit! Imma skip to the lastest chapter and if I see any hint that fucking Natsuo is doing his droopy eyes at Hina again I'm going to drop this shit. And guess what? I was not wrong! He's dating the actress now! But God damed Hina is there still doing nothing but being a pain because she is obsessed with the guy and the fucker is doing the eyes thing! I really don't like Hina. Every single time we have seen her pov she is STILL thinking about their time together and can not move one. It's not cute, nor it's a sign of "true love". She is a grown ass woman with the emotional growth of a child because she doesn't want to let go of a relationship that ended YEARS ago. Lmao! I honestly thought I was gonna get a lot of dislikes for this. Wait how do you know he’s dating the actress? Didn’t he reject her in Ch. 236? And yeah Hina and him are still making googley eyes at each other when she’s putting a neck tie on him in this latest chapter but then Rui calls and in the latest raw, he picks up without hesitation and is all blushing and so is she and Hina is all fucking jealous looking sooooo idk. And I’m mostly skimming through chapters lol I don’t really bother reading them unless I see something that might look interesting. But yeah I’ve read a lot of comments where it’s 99% that the endgame is with Hina (￣∇￣") I like Rui but I honestly don’t want her to end up with Natsuo, like this love triangle needs to split and they all need to end up with different people (but that would defeat the purpose of everything they’ve been through so he has to end up with one of them). Hina looks pathetic af just clinging to Natsuo, he even forgot about the birthday cake she baked for him just so he can go look at an article about Rui and he was all happy. Lol I know about the actress because I read the comments (like I said I like to watch trash burn, and there is no better trash fire than the comment section) Natsuo is sooooo ugggg he is the annoying MC that doesn't do shit in the love department but there will always be a girl dropped in his lap and do shit for him while he is like a child being taken care of. That's it he is looking for a mom he can have sex with. He goes on and on in how he wants to be a more dependable man and how he wants his love ones and friends to depend on him and yet he does the opposite when the other party ask the same level of trust from him. If anything I agree with the three of them going their own separate ways, and my counter point of defeating the point of the whole story is: it doesn't because the story is about personal growth of all of the characters: Rui started as a stoic girl that didn't care about most things and couldn't express herself. Natsuo as a dumb teenager with the classic crush on a teacher, Hina as a teacher who even though was doing alright was having an affair with a married man. Of all of them Rui is the one with the most personal, emotional and mature growth, then follows Natsuo who is still in need growing emotionally and Hina.... Hina hasn't change, she is still in her stagnant state of mind. If the three of them go and find love somewhere else is not a waste because it means it follow the natural course in life in which we don't always end up with our first or second love who most of us met at school, instead if we are lucky if we find that one person that shares the same vision of a future that we want; that has the a passion we can pushed and support them while they do the same to us; were we are equals while we love and respect each other. That's not even an endgame in real life, that's just the middle of the next chapter. In this manga though Hina is just a mother figure that takes care of Natsuo while he is being him not doing shit and just letting things happen and yet again starts to develop feelings for the person mothering him aka Hina ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Yes to everything you said lol. What do think of the actor girl? I think she’s too pushy and honestly it’s a real turn off, not cute at all the way she’s acting. I see some people feel sorry for her and want them to end up together but I don’t even feel like she’s a better choice...then again anyone would be a better choice than Hina ╮(￣▽￣)╭
In my pov the actress is just a plot sequence to a particular end. Like I said, after the Rui break up I skipped to the latest chapter so what I saw of the actress was that she is type of scummy girl that doesn't care if the dude is in a relationship, she will still try to seduce him (kissing him and breaking and entering into his apartment). When I last saw her she was still seeking advice from the slutty friend who was teaching her how to steal a taken guy. Natsuo is no better because the ass keeps talking to her like nothing happen. I'm not saying he should be rude but just treat her like a classmate and not seeking her out like he did.
If she is being too pushy it's more likely that it's on purpose so the reader GETS turn off. The mangaka did the same with the stalker guy. It seams Hina would finally move on with her life with a good guy and then she drop the "lol psych! He wasn't good at all" plot twist so Hina could get a damsel in distress moment with Natsuo so he could get stab to THEN made that be scene where the mom talks about how they should had let Hina and Natsuo love each other that conveniently Rui herd and started the whole "should I let him go" sub plot.
Most likely than not the actress is acting the way she is because the mangaka is making a point of showing that she is not as good as the current sister in the spotlight.
I checked the raws and the “sister” is indeed a brother. That’s why he calls him hyung.
To clarify though, she got a sex change so he’s now a she but he’s still calls him hyung.
