So apparently the ML is actually cheating on our FL. He wanted to marry FL because she has money / power. The whole thing of "ruining their plans" is over the fact that the poison won't allow her to live past 18. FL finds out about the cheating and doesnt want to marry him. But then hes like, well I can marry you when you're 17 I think? He then gets better kinda when he decides to die in the FL's place by taking the poison from her body to his own but I don't think he's redeemable tho. Apparently he also wanted both sisters cause he eventually fell in love with FL after she saved him again. Either way he is a scumbag and I do hope he goes bye bye and FL gives a (￣ε(#￣)Σ and (︶︿︶)＝凸 to her participating cheater sister who was in on the poisoning. I read up to ch48 in chinese (idk chinese, just translated it as i was reading) but then got tired and stopped, i might pick it up again someday lol! Anyway , i find this emperor An kind of confusing and i feel like every character needs further developpement
The plot is realy confusing as i said, i mean every chinese manhua , even the good ones like "The ghostly doctor" or "Holy chef, Crazy empress " would've felt like this at 20+ pr 30+ chapters. I think it's better to wait for like 50+ chapters for it to make a little sens lol .
Anyway here are some important things i understood so far.
1/ In the past he was ambushed and the Fl helped him but then her sister came and told her that she could get in trouble if he wakes up and sees her , the truth is the sister payed some guys to ambush him and just injure him so that she can save him and he falls in love with her or something like that, But he knows that the FL saved him because he saw her just before collapsing and he remembers the scene clearly, he also suspects that it was a scheme from the sister.
2/ Emperor An is realy affected by the fact that shishi is sick and dying, but he doesn't show it because no one knows that she saved him and she doesn't remember it but he make it feel like it only affects him because he wants to marry her for the power of her family and tell her that she's just a pawn in his plans.
3/ The identity of the sister and her mother is realy mysterious she wants power to take revenge for something that happened in the past to her wlan ( But we don't have any more details)
4/ The sister is approached by one of An's brothers ( The one with blus/gray hair), he knows about her past and wants to use her against An .
5/ The white haired doctor/ Friend of An, telle him that she might not be able to live those 2 years as she was poisoned from birth and is very feeble so he tries eveything in his power to save her.
6/ It is also said that Shishi is poisoned by 3 different people and they are all together in it since it has to be a specific dose of each poison to obtain such effect at her age . She isn't bothered by her coming death but wishes to find the ones behind it before she dies.
