Pretty complex character for this kind of manga. I don't think he's attracted to her, but the social implication that he should be, keeps intruding in his mind.
So he just remember something traumatic and sexual about her, then saw that she was hiding things from him, then heard someone say that he should be into her, then saw her hurt and I just think his wires got crossed.
Idk, maybe I'm just coping.
This manga keeps switching from infantile to surprisingly nuanced and complex. I'm crossing my fingers for the author, this is their big chance to show what they're all about.
I'm on chapter 14 and I think I've formed a parasocial relationship with the translator. They could just start uploading pictures of trees from now on and I'd be like "Ah, yes, our wise translator has truly edited this well for us. Praise them, for we are blessed"

Guys what the hell, this is pretty interesting, but I'm not sure how much of the messaging is intentional.
We've had a conflict between commoners and nobles, with our protagonists being all nobles, we'd assume the story would take the nobles side.
But, as this plot developed, it was a noble orchestrating the revolt for his own greed.
The one who solved this issue could only do it, because he understood the commoners as people and not as subjects. He also paid taxes and so he thinks he can solve this in a way that's satisfactory for everyone. He found the solution that humanized the nobles in their eyes, explained their purpose and made amends. Then, he got scolded for it.
Portag is by all means a commoner in a noble's body. He views himself as a wealthy manager of a company, rather than a higher being. So it's obvious that he doesn't understand, that the nobles don't want to be humanized, they expect to dominate. They find the idea of explaining themselves to commoners insulting and treacherous. They'd rather get rid off a doubtful commoner, than stop their doubt.

Alright, I know both of the characters started healing and I'm soooo happy for them both, but as I'm writing this comment, the "Yandere" in the title is shining teal and bold at me, so I do hope there will be some resolution to this.

The art is phenomenal, the characters are great in design, dynamic and personality. The story looked really interesting at the start.
I just think the proto-hunter plot was really stupid? Either a) All hunter can choose to awaken, but some choose not to, or b) Not every hunter is capable of awakening.
a) makes no sense, because why would this group of people choose to be weaker for no reason. "They're standing up against the awakened!" makes no sense, when they could become awakened at any time
b) makes no sense, because if that was the case, why would mc automatically be considered a danger? This isn't even "there is prejudice in this story" thing, because ml was willing to bet his life on it and never considered the possibility of having love mc regardless
The rape is lame. This isn't even a thriller or something like that, so it's obvious it was shoehorned in to skip communication and get to sex. You can't even say "Oh well, they're both into it, even though it had to happen through manhwa-rape-conventions", because in every sex scene, one of them is crying and begging the other one to stop or saying it hurts.
Even when they're already having sex, you can't get into it, because there's no damn lube and no damn prep. Sorry, just because all you eat is ant guts, doesn't mean you suddenly don't have poop in your bum.
Also!!!! And this is important! I've seen multiple manhwas now trying to make asshole-ripped-to-the-point-of-bleeding a hot thing and we need to band together as fellow perverts and make it clear we won't stand for this. If you want blood in sex, get into knife-play like every other respectable artist.
And now, this is only my personal taste so bear with me, but I think I'd be cool if:
1)They played up the trauma a bit more. I mean it's been ten years, he shouldn't be able to function as well as he does. I wish more communication about their feelings happened on both sides and that we got to see them heal a little bit together
2)Screw ten years, make it twenty!!! Or however long to make the younger brother suddenly visibly older. I mean some of those anime-dad-wrinkles under the eyes and maybe a beard, but I know that's a bit too radical for the no-pubes art. I want to see that reversal of their caretaking dynamic played up to the max! He used to be older and took care of you and now he's suddenly younger and has no place in this new world! Oh fuck!! Maybe I just need to reread Regas idk

I love thiiissss!! Usually I find these sorts of male leads annoying, but the fact that they aren't actually together adds a layer, that I like. The change of romantic devotion to a Knight's devotion adds a layer, that I like. The capable knight protagonist adds another layer, that I like. The fact that he has loved ones and places to live for, adds a thiiiiiick layer, that I like. And oh shit!!!! We've got an awesome onion of shit that I like!!
