Uuuughhhh..... It's usually a really tense and interesting story, which is why this writing decision is so disappointing!
The investigation being dr. Oh's death was a hugely important plot point, serving to turn Dr. Seok into an active protagonist, rather than a passive bystander.
The investigation was what drove them to spend time together.
The circumstances around his death were set up as specific clues, like you'd do in a mystery. We weren't just told "his death is suspicious", we were told where he stood when he was shot, who had access to the lab, the alibis of other doctors, the time of death and that it was meddled with.
The Garden of Eden and it's leader has also been a huge deal! We've slowly been getting fragments of information about what they are, what are they after, why are they interested in Dr. Seok and how are they connected to Dr. Oh's death.
My main point being, that while not tagged as such, this whole time the plot has been clearly centered around a mystery. Why, oh why, would they decide to suddenly reveal the entire mystery to me, without the protagonist present, without any tension, being delivered by a guy we've literally never met before. Why are we immediately given all the answers and why are the main culprits behind these mysteries two guys, who not only did we not know who they are, until last chapter, we literally didn't even know they exist. Sorry, the main culprits being the two leaders would've been a lot more interesting had it been set up better beforehand.
I kind of get revealing the truth behind Oh's death, as the clues and conclusion were kind of already there (But I'd do it in a more tense and relevant way!), but whyyyyyyyyyy reveal who's the leader of Eden. There was no need for that aghhhhhhh. Sorry.
This might not be the story for me. The art is beautiful, the characters are mostly interesting, the whole concept is great, but I can't see how this could possibly end in a way that'd be satisfying to me.
There is literally not a single positive thing she'd get out of a relationship with Cesare. She can get money by doing the job, that she signed up for in the first place. Whatever status she gets out of Cesare will drop, once she becomes "the woman that sleeps with her brother". He is cruel to her(*).
They have nothing in common at all.
By making the second and third lead (knight and wannabe fiance) all normal and kind people, it makes the ever approaching romance feel like sending my beloved protagonist to the gallows.
(*) A cruel ML doesn't automatically mean, that there's no chance for a good romance. But he is cruel to her when she fails and when she succeeds. He is cruel to her when he's attracted to her and cruel to her when he despises her. Importantly, she isn't fighting back anymore. There is no romantic tension between them, as she fears for her life around him. He abused her into compliance and is upset she's compliant. He's an interesting and pretty realistic character, but I literally can't imagine a way they'd get together, that wouldn't make me rip my hair out.
I'm not sure if that's the intention, but this manga is awaking a lot mothering instincts in me. Perhaps grandma instincts even. Just want to sit him down and give him some sliced apples while we watch a nice family friendly movie.
I'm sorry, I have to admit this, while I do find Angel to be a genuinely charming and interesting character, I don't ship him with Remi at all. Not even a little. Obviously, the unreachable victory for me would be Remilia and Emi, but Remilia and her lady knight or even Thorne would be nice. Idkkkkkkkkk......the Yuri is too strong here. I can't find another manga where mc regularly drops lines declaring devotion, admiration and selfless love for another. :,((((
"Oh...Her brother loved her all along, he never betrayed her how swee---- oh. Ohhhhhhhhhh. Oh no."
One one hand the pacing in this story is drop dead gorgeous. The realistic colors combined with silent panels with subtle movements make this feel like living breathing world. All the characters feel much more real thanks to it.
On the other hand, it doesn't seem realistically compatible with a production pipeline of an entire regularly releasing manhwa. This chapter was beautiful, yes, but we basically didn't get anywhere. I hope it's just a one time thing, as it's horrible when artist gets tired halfway through a story and can't keep up the quality.
Tumblrinas would have been insane over him back in 2016
So tragic.... Can't even get horny about them, because all I'm thinking about is Abel's poor health. Sorry sire, I prescribe rest and exercise, no hardcore possessive dicking down on the floor until he gain twice his current weight. Sorry, doctor's orders.
OSAKA-CHAN?!??!??? HOW'D SHE BECOME A TEACHER. A prayer for her students...
NO MATTER HOW MANY YEARS WILL PASS OR WHAT THE STORY IS, I'LL ALWAYS RECOGNIZE THIS ARTIST YAAAA,YYYYYY
Please recommend works that made you cry, but have a happy ending. Ideally lots of emotional hurt towards the mc. Idc about the genders, but I'd like to be able to finish it or at least finish an arc that'd make me cry tonight. I need to sob my heart out, menstruation is coming aaaaaghhhhhhuhghhhh
Lysbet has an agenda confirmed, Lysbet wants him to remain as an obedient slave confirmed, Lysbet knew about the abuse confirmed, the mage felt the need to lie to Lysbet to protect Slam confirmed...........truly a hard day for the Lysbets simps (me). At least the mage simps got something out of it (me). I don't think we can expect a big "muhahaha I was an evil mastermind all along" plot twist, but despite caring for Slan, what is best for him and what is best for her probably don't align.
Oh come on author. Really??? The side stories have four chapters now and Lyle has stumbled onto an exact fragment of a conversation, that could lead to misunderstandings THREE times???!!! The discussions about whether Ash is a bad lover or if Lyle is oversensitive are pointless, because the situation they're trying to solve is, that at any given point, there's a guy behind the corner saying the exact part of a conversation, that'd allow an eavesdropper to misunderstand....So dumb...
