If the vampire really did kill a CHILD in the beginning, then the author has done a good job making it so a lot of readers won’t care how horribly he’s treated in future chapters. If it’s never brought up again I’ll assume the child died, but there’s still room to see. But if he did then, my dislike of rape in stories suddenly vanishes when it’s happening to a child murderer. A purely fictional narrative take.

You can see the body under the table before he leaves so yeah, assuming the kid is dead

That’s what I was thinking, but there’s always the “pretend to be dead until they leave” twist stories like to pull, so I was holding out a tiny bit of hope.

With the abuse escalating as it was and ML being know to murder for fun… we all know within a year or so he’s likely going to kill MC. Probably during sex gone too far. Like there is only 1 way this ends for MC now and it’s with a premature death.

My problem is this was just 7 chapters of watching a guy get tortured. It ends where it began. So you read chapter 1 and you’ve basically gotten the entire experience, which I think is a failure of writing. This isn’t psychological or horror, it’s actual, literal, by definition torture porn. Which fine if that’s your kink, I just think writing wise this was poorly executed and a waste of time.

The rape in the beginning ruins the whole thing. And it was SO unnecessary. It’s never brought up again, there are no consequences. Like it just happens and the story moves on. It’s treating rape like a rough handshake. But it ruins the “sweet” ML everyone loves because it means at his core he’s a rapist who sees nothing wrong with rape. Why do yaoi always do this with ML they don’t want to be seen as evil? Like unless you’re intentionally writing a toxic ML who is meant to be toxic and that’s a plot point of the story, why rape? Just feels like the editor said “we need a sex scene in the beginning” so they just threw it in to get it out of the way.

Fr like instant rape just makes no sense. It would be more believable to whack him unconscious, rough him up a little, or toss him in a dungeon for having deceived them. Plus, loving your rapist after being confined just screams stockholm syndrome rather than love.

yeah it's really disappointing because i love this manga so much, it would have been that much better without that completely unnecessary scene

That the boss being a shit boss who oversteps bounds and abuses his authority to make secretary do jobs outside of his duties, even so far as taking care of the boss at home, gets brought up. Very worried they’re going to skip over the abuse of power and go straight to the secretary doing damage control bc he was caught planning to (kind of dropped) backstab said awful boss. Got my finger crossed bc if the secretary is the only one who has to apologize I’ll consider this a flop story wise (but still great smut).

About a man who is gaslit by everyone around him to think he’s wrong and crazy as his autonomy is slowly stripped away. Mother sells you to the royal family, collects checks you’ve never seen a scent of, and lies about your gender? It was for your own good and you’re ungrateful. What do you mean not knowing put you at risk? THAT’s why the royal family said they would protect you… from the harm and media storm THEY cause. He’s obviously not being rational about this.

He wants to stay in college and not get pregnant? Is he crazy? That’s a selfish thing to do, he’s not even thinking about how that would make the fiancé he just met feel or the danger he would be in… because of the lies and said fiancé. He’s clearly not thinking rational since becoming an omega. Hopefully spousal training, preparing him for his wifely duties will set him straight.

For now he can be indulged and allowed to go to college. Just until he gets pregnant of course, which will be soon obviously. What a crazy guy, not even considering how his fiancé feels about him getting an education or that could impact his true future career. Baby maker.

THISS I really hated the way where his fiancé just wasn’t so hard to get like please

    YES OMG YES

    AND THAT FUCKING SECRETARY.

Go fuck off and you get pregnant for the royal family if you care so much. Fucking ass manipulators and gaslighters

The art is so sketchy and unfinished I wondered if this was a beta test before the official release.

    Ya_Boi_Gandalf July 7, 2024 8:18 pm

I think it's like a story made by the author on Twitter or something not an actual series on a webtoon website. Might be wrong tho but I'm pretty sure that's what it is

This art shows that if you want to make a webcomic, just do it. Not good at art or comic paneling? Doesn’t matter. The only thing stopping you is YOU. Who needs talent when you have ~passion~

If the FL had an ounce of agency or personality. She doesn’t do anything the entire story except exist and have sex. She gets an incredible power and does nothing with it. Instead of her “writing her own story” it’s used as a quick and easy way to fix the relationship between her and the ML. Like, she didn’t even try to use it that way on her own, it just happened. The only interesting thing she’s ever done was the backstory where she saved ML as a child. But then we see none of that bravery or even quick wit later. Just a let down. She could be replaced with a very sweet pet and nothing but the sex would change.

Usagi Otoko Tora Otoko. They have similar premises, but I like the art and comedy of Usagi over this one. Also I think it does a better job with balancing the yakuza concept with a normal person. It’s not perfect but I recommend checking it out if you like yakuza x doctor who saved their life premise.

I like Usagi Otoko Tora Otoko too, but I don’t think these can be compared at all outside of the very basic premise. Although UOTO is a comedy too, it does take its subject matter seriously, whereas I don’t think you’re meant to take anything seriously in this comic.

The MC is… Colonel Sanders? They really called him that?
