If ML had met another 1/1 Haram that reminded him more of his imaginary friend, not just a blond, he never would have went back to uke. Felt less like he genuinely loves uke and more like he slowly realized uke was the closest he was going to get to his fantasy. And since he loves his imaginary friend he must “love” the closest thing available. It’s too wrapped in delusion to feel genuine.
Just feels like they went back to the start. ML’s toxic mindset in the epilogue, testing uke’s affection by seeing how far he can push him during sex, doesn’t help. Unfortunately this story fell into the same pitfall as many other BL where sex takes precedence over story. Hence why even after the breakup they continued having sex, because heaven forbid we go more than 5 chapters in this psychological drama without a smut scene. I can see why some people might like this, but it just fell short and was unsatisfying for me.
They’re dating. They like each other. There was NO reason for ML to rape the MC? It came out of nowhere and was glossed over to a degree that it didn’t need to be there at all. Also, MC is not the kind of guy who would so easily forgive RAPE after a single pouty look from ML. Even ignoring the overuse of rape as a cheap way to have 2 characters bang without needing to build chemistry… this story DID build chemistry and it just doesn’t work narratively after the growth of MC and even ML. It’s bad writing.

Accurate. Kanou is definitely trash, but at the end of the day he never hit Ayase and would have died for him. This guy, on the other hand has zero qualities that are even close to redeeming.

Really want to get into this, 20 chapters in. But the FL is so stupid it’s haaaard. She knows her brother KILLED her in her previous life, plotted the war. She does absolutely nothing with this information after coming back to life. She doesn’t put eyes on him, doesn’t make sure she knows of the secret meetings with other kingdoms. Doesn’t try to find out who the mage who helped kill her was. Doesn’t do anything toward him to put herself in a better position information or power wise. Yet she’s FAR more distrustful to Canach who only went to war after she was killed. Like, her entire plan, for 20 years. Was just… hope her brother doesn’t kill her this time? Because she has magic she used for border walls. Marry the same man with 0 planning ahead and hope for the best? All that build up for her to have NO plan. That was a wasted 20 years.

anyone who would be in this situation would probably act similarly. it's her oldest brother. it's obvious that she loved him a lot so that was why it'd be normal for her to take time to make up a plan yk? and as for canach, what do you want her to do abt him? she only knew him as someone who's really bad. she disliked him so it's normal that she distrusts him. like think of it realistically. but now a lot has changed. you're not truly giving the story a chance unless you read it to the end. unless you do that, you can't fully judge it because you don't have the full picture

I like the story too and OP comment should keep on reading cuz it gets real good once you get through the initial chapters, but I'm not going to bullshit her actions in the start as it's 'normal to act like that'. Gonna wait and see how badly MC fucked up in the past OR if ML is blowing it out of proportion and being needlessly petty, before making a judgement. It’s too soon to call imo.

If he was cool with having sex for money, even being filmed why does he care about a picture being leaked he could claim as fake or even report as revenge porn? Uke did agree to the livestream, but had no idea it would be explicit. I assumed he only joined the contest in hopes of winning a quick buck. When he found out about the nature of the live streams, he thought he could do it, but realized that he couldnt and bailed.

3) He doesnt have any hard evidence for the blackmail. Sure, he has screenshots of his ex asking him money, but that really doesnt prove uke is being blackmailed since the actual blackmailing happened on a face to face confrontation. And for the second part, narcissists like the ex believe they did nothing wrong and live in their own world where all they do is morally correct and all that matters is themselves so thats prob why the ex had the gall and the balls to say that.
