Author really went out of their way to make JJ irredeemable. Like he is so shit and doesn’t deserve MC. Hope they DON’T get back together and MC finds someone who will actually communicate and treat him with respect and lives his best life with him. And then JJ just cries in a corner realizing what he lost and how much he fucked up.
There is absolutely nothing stopping him from coming up with a little plan to avoid getting on the plane last minute and calling his parents to beg them to buy him a plane ticket home. Like in an airport there are SO many options and it’s very easy to hide. If only the dumb shit had a brain, or a spine, alas. Feels like I’m reading about a goldfish and it’s abusive owner.

So much needs to happen plot wise that the sex has just become obtrusive and boring. Especially since the uke has no spine. In his head sure, he talks a good game. But there are 0 actions behind it. He’s basically being used as a fleshlight and his feelings and autonomy is not considered at ALL by the seme. But we still have the uke going UwU sad backstory and flipping his opinion bc the sister told him something that should only explain behavior not excuse it. People comparing this to a wattpad story are 100% correct. Good art WASTED.
Talking about the author. They’re gaslighting the audience like we didn’t read the beginning. Where the seme treated the uke HORRIBLY. 100% compared and treated him like a replacement. Allowed his friends to harass and humiliate the uke in public, even joining in. Trying to pull a “I loved you all along” doesn’t work just bc the author is stating that through the seme. We have ACTIONS to look back on and say no, no you didn’t. This bs development ruins the whole thing imo.
The 3rd chapter confirmed the uke genuinely did not care about any of the people he hurt or anyone around him. It took the seme doing the exact same thing to him for the uke to be like “I understand how girls feel” meaning he hadn’t consider their feelings whatsoever. So… I don’t hate the seme for what he did. Call me petty.
ALSO the sister being 100% over and okay with 0 negative feelings toward the uke feels SO forced. Like, the author didn’t want us to hate him too much so they had the sister tell us no no, he’s not a complete douche who uses girls as beards and doesn’t even value them as people. We had fuuuuuuun. Feels like the author is really saying, yes, Ian, no one cares about the you now. Not even the author. Everyone you think cares for you do not even SEE you. They see Brian and yearn for who you once were and will never see you as your own person. You are valued for you past and no one would have cared about you if you weren’t a reincarnation. Like it’s actually really sad.

I think more so than his own desires, maybe it’s a past life plaguing his mind? Like the original Kane, the one whose name he was made to take as a child. Really hope it doesn’t go all in on the sexual desire plot and still mostly focuses on mystery surrounding the father. Would love a scene where Kane digs up his brother’s corpse to see if he still has a heart. That would be interesting.

Why do the comments seem to have collectively forgotten the seme 100% used coercion to force the uke to sleep with him by threat of voiding the contract. Using his position of power over the uke to put him in a corner where he essentially had no choice but to agree (this is still classified as rape, not all rape is through physical violence) to sex with the seme. Did the author forget what they wrote? Did they want more sex in the fic so badly they brought up the “sleep with with me or you lose your job” aspect, then completely ignored their own writing once the sex actually started? The hell was this “I don’t want to owe you more than I already do” like it’s such a gross phrase coming from the victim to their perpetrator in this situation.
Was hoping we would delve more into the ML’s life and his whole situation and mental instability. This whole random jealous friend 3rd wheeling who came out of nowhere is kind of boring and extremely cliche.
