Thank you to whoever's translating this. May you have a wonderful week ahead of you.
Edit *: You guys think they'll realize in this version that they're the one who comforted each other years ago? I'd love it either way honestly. (And I kinda think they should, since it wasn't really a long time ago.)

I for one prefer the original art style, but what makes me excited for this is the direction it's going to. I appreciate how they omitted the Jeongwoo crossdressing thing, it removes the idea that the Jeongwoo needs to look like a woman just to be involved with the mc romantically and relieves the story of the "you look like a woman that's why I'm attracted to you" trope. (I also think it's more respectful to our trans sisters/brothers to do so.)
Also like how the hints of ~statutory rape~ were also removed.
Really like how Jeongwoo's character has a lot more depth in this direction. He seems more human (and less shallow) while retaining the charm the original version's Jeongwoo had. Needless to say, I still like the original one. But I really love where the remastered version is going story-wise. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Edit: Someone replied and it suddenly disappeared when I edited my comment (corrected some grammatical errors), so I'm adding my reply here just in case s/he didn't see it:
No, Jeongwoo and the ex's relationship in the original wasn't actually that important. Both depictions actually have the same effect/contribution to the story. The only difference between the two was; in the original, despite Jeongwoo being a minor, they were romantically involved but broke up during Jeongwoo's first year in uni; in this depiction, the "ex" held back and basically ghosted Jeongwoo but then magically reappeared when Jeongwoo turned 20. I prefer the latter, honestly. Highly recommend reading the Original though. + At this rate (and the whole pandemic), this'll take forever to finish.

I wouldn't say it's important since what both depictions contributed to the story is exactly the same. I imagine the their relationship to have different resolutions/climax though, it wouldn't make sense if it was the same.
Highly recommend reading the original! I think it would make you appreciate this version much more. (+ If they're going with the same pace as the original's, 74 chapters, this is going to take a long time to finish.)

I’m confused on why you’re bringing up cross dressing? Jungwoo wasn’t an cross dresser and him “looking like a girl” had nothing to do with Eungi’s attraction to him. He only cross dressed once for an event which happens way later in the story, after he and Eungi have already started dating. Eungi doesn’t even like it and says he prefers the regular Jungwoo. Did Yeongha say something about removing that event from the remastered Fools?

While it did end up not actually affecting Eungi's attraction to him (which begs the question, why was it even a part of the story in the first place?) its inclusion still presents a common trope in Yaoi/BL where the uke must look like a woman as proof of "attractiveness." It's a pretty problematic trope for obvious reasons.
The event you're talking about wasn't the only instance Jeongwoo was forced to dress up as a woman.
I'm not exactly sure if the author will remove the dress up as a waitress scene--the event you're talking about--but I think it's fair to assume that she might since the pageant (or was it like a challenge thingy?) Jeongwoo participated in at the beginning was omitted.

Ah! Thanks for the reminder, I completely wiped that from my memory since it never played a role in their relationship or interactions (aside from the later event). I see what you mean now. It is a problematic trope considering it’s always happening to “bottom” who are “too cute too pretty to be a boy” denying masculinity that isn’t hyper-aggressive or stereotypically “manly”.
Thank you for pointing that out! Yeongha seems to have gotten more considerate in their writing and I’m this remastering reflects that.
You could say the Cop awakened his voyeuristic desires because of the exhibitionist--which kinda makes sense. Still very criminal and weird tho.
