I don't get it. What's with all of the main characters in these types of stories having some unfounded, ridiculous idea that nothing about love in the story can be changed despite changing LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE. It's like the entire plot rides upon the fact that these girls can't talk bluntly unless it's convenient and have one idiotic belief that they can't let go.

No I'm not talking about their idea that the toxic people can become better. Honestly I hate most of the main love interests in these stories, but I appreciate the plots and concepts. The romance just tends to be annoying.
My point was why do they all believe that said toxic person will fall in love with only that one character and never anybody else regardless of what the mc does? It simply doesn't make sense when they change so many other aspects of the story to believe that only that one thing will not change.

I can understand if he has no sense of morality that he doesn't mind sleeping around. As long as she doesn't find out then ¯_(ツ)_/¯ there's no down sides. But bruh it's not like he's an idiot there's no reason he shouldn't understand that she wouldn't like it or the logical reasonings as to why she doesn't like it. So why does the comic try to make him out to be so confused as to why she's upset? He knows, he just doesn't care and can't relate to the emotion.
Anywho, I like this kind of character. It's interesting to see since its uncommon. Can't say I dislike him.

What's with all the goddamn dancing around the subject. We can SEE her THOUGHTS. JUST SAY IT. Why all this nuance and still relating experiences oh hardship in love to her love of Johannes back then. GAH. I just want confirmation already. Had enough of all the hinted gay coded characters within media.

Dude, this is old times. No one's just gonna pop outta the closet and say "Im gay bitches, deal with it". There's misogyny and prejudice, examples: Rebecca learning sword fighting, Prince Payne for being the son of a Concubine, Arth for being the son of a commoner, Sasha for not having a status and being a "pet" to the high nobles, Kanakta delegates for wanting the throne (they just want Payne, for now), Rebecca being that idiot's fiancee and having the King and Queen practically corner her into tying to knots with the prince (moving up the wedding day with no consideration to her status and wanting grandchildren already).
So of course it's gonna be hinted that they're gay, they can't just claim it. Arth had this conversation with Rebecca, she's ahead of her time, too ahead. If you can't deal with it read something modern, because this story's timeline isn't.

We can literally read their thoughts. Half of this comic is just reading their inner dialogue. There is no reason we shouldn't be able to see Rebecca realize she has romantic feelings for Sasha or at the very least say something less vague than basically "I wish I were born a man. It would be much easier to just be given what I want." *stares at Sasha longingly and then laments about how unfair it is that she can't inherit easily since she's female*

So? That's kinda the point of reading a comic? As a reader we read their thoughts because it's freaking written? It's there to give us context and depth of the characters? Old times is more romantic and all that, especially when it's just thoughts. Plus, that's such a gay thing that everyone who is gay and fell in love with someone who is straight, has done. "Wish they were gay/not straight/kinda wish I was a man/woman so they would fall for me" and then stare at them, that's gay content. Idk what to tell you, but that's pretty fucking gay and out in the open for a story in a kingdom setting. So idk why you bitching?

Not literally, tho I suppose Shoichi's already got that covered. I hate him. He's an absolute asshole who manipulated Ichi, lied to him, and repeatedly ignored his boundaries. Kei had no right to blame Ichi at all and that whole lesson of "Maybe they're being an asshole because they want you to pay attention to them, so pay attention to them" is bull.
Frankly speaking, they've been together for a very short amount of time and they've already fought this much. They have conflicts at every turn, misunderstandings galore, and drama because of Simeon's social standing that he unwittingly drags her into.
They just don't mesh well.
They don't. And i feel she's going to have to compromise herself to fit in with him. That's not fair to her.
