someone PLEASE give me a recommendation with such angst of one of the characters, like pining after doing something wrong and fully suffering for it but also in the best heartwrenching way possible. plus I LOVED the character development in this, they both really deserve eachother as the best people. love it

I sometimes mistake this manhua with another one. This one has a similar premise, although the suffering is not as much:

I also forgot most of it, but basically they fell in love in high school and had to break up due to many circumstances, such as a photo of them kissing was spread (only MC can be seen in the photo) and some family circumstances. MC was the one who broke up with ML (thinking it's best for ML) and he also got sick. Then they met again after so many years and ML has a kid (of course there's a plot twist to this) and MC is the school director.

I was a bit iffy in the start on how they may return to their original storyline from the novel aerinda read, but to know that this was obviously a separate world with people and their own thoughts and how both luke AND serena worked to turn back time for aerinda's happiness just made me love their genuine friendship and the romance aspect even more. I loved how the 4 equally were friends with eachother and cherished eachother and how romance got its own time and importance without anything out of balance. I need side stories. I love these 4 together so much.

Read the novel please. The inner monologue of both Ash and Lyle will show u just how "uncomfortable" lyle might be or how dubious it is. Its NOT. ash specifically says he'd never ever force lyle to do something he doesn't want, and he doesn't. Lyle is bad at communicating but open about stuff through expressions which ash understands. Lyle and his inner monologues about being happy and comfortable regarding ash being the way he is, is more than enough. Moreover he really wanted lyle to communicate in any way because in his head, it wasn't a positive idea that he thought lyle must've been thinking about but because he didn't want a repeat of what happened with lyle regarding Hazel. Just read the novel, their relationship is super healthy, ash's personality and behaviour is something lyle loves to handle and vice versa, objectively isn't weird either. I never write down comments but It does bother me when people refuse to understand well written relationships and that word based communication isn't the only way.Plus yes, they have a safe word soon. Anyway. Thanku for coming to my ted talk (⌒▽⌒)

& tbh, even without reading the novel, if someone actually gaf about the characters & put their critical thinking hats on, they'd be able to see A LOT of that in the manhwa too. this manhwa is very expressive & emotional in every panel & chapter. it focuses on the characters - the plot revolves around them & not the other way around. unfortunately, i think many who hate ash don't think about that since the manhwa is also mainly in lyle's pov, & they j read it straightforwardly

I actually read this very chapter an hour ago in the novel hahaha, here u go:

exactly and how are they looking into ash's antics and NOT focusing on the fact that lyle actually wants ash to be thay way? like lyle admitted alot of time in the novel that ash was aggressive and forward during sex but also that he personally loved it that way, so why is it a problem? but also yea, some really need to understand the difference between actual dubious content vs a meek × aggressive healthy two sided relationship dynamic lol
