The ML is arrogant and rude at the beginning but those complaining can’t be serious BL readers. Ive read the novel and honestly once they are both on the same track their relationship is honestly amazing and its really well written.
They can't handle characters actually having some personality and depth and not just thinking of sex all the time .
Like tbh if it would be your typical bl , it would be something like i need to have sex regularly or i lose my mind and make the mc his sex partner(AND THEY EAT THAT SHIT UP)
It's so fucking rare for the characters' first time being intimate is actually intimate
Ace is a selfish brat but it’s pretty obvious to king anyway that jay was falling in love with ace the selfish brat. I dunno imagine being immortal and watching the love of your life falling in love with your “son”. Even king had lived he would’ve been miserable and Jay would be bouncing back and forth between the two.
Don’t think Jay and Ace would last, Ace is much too immature and impulsive I give it a 100 years before Jay kills him self and Ace finds someone else.

It had all the ingredients but didn’t quite get there, i feel like the story was meant to be longer but was cut short for some reason. It’s good but could have been better. Their bodies are drawn *chefs kiss but the penetration sex scenes just looked uncomfortable rather than enjoyable to read there wasn’t really love making just banging away forcefully.

There is a talent and balance to writing a morally grey character or an anti hero who you can sympathise with, author missed the mark. The bonus story was the nail in the coffin. What a load of crap!! Neither the Seme nor the Uke even had personalities. The seme could’ve done anything else but what he did to reach his goal. Nothing he did was worth it i was laughing at the end because i was like okay… sure those were your only options. What a joke!!
