Ik I'm gonna sound crazy, but I think platinum is this overly flirtatious guy because of the persona he's trying to achieve. I think he's probably assumes the way he's acting is what should confidence look like. I kinda like him and I think he has a lot of potential. I hope my faith in his true character isn't betrayed by the author because there's so many ways this can go and I really enjoy his character and the what ifs he has.
I agree with you, this is such a good comment.
We can see so many layers of his personality, and it's the most complex one out of all the male leads shown thus far.
Although at first i thought he'd be the usual egocentric womenizer, with a few chapters he proved me wrong.
He seems act this way mostly because he thinks that's marianne's type.
And they are so many questions that arises, like why he is so set in liking marianne, what is his true identity, and why he has a weak health
Sometimes, even when a person is forced to become a monster, the most responsible humane thing to do is end their suffering. Shigaraki has spent his whole life used, conditioned, and brainwashed to think his actions have enough reason and meaning to be justified. He'll probably never understand why his actions were so frowned upon and even if he does he's not going to think anything he did was wrong.
Unless someone can reset him into a child using some plot bull shit, the guy is going to spend the rest of his life like that. (Or the author decides to redeem him which I don't think id possible to do so and make it well written) So I think it's best for them to end him.

Be my turn
