it’s so funny how every single comment is hating LMAO. one of the worst manga i’ve ever read which is saying something. this is awful even by toxic yaoi standards. jaekyung feels like a caricature of an evil abusive guy. kim dan is such a doormat that i’m not even rooting for him at this point. they’re both so poorly written they might ve made for each other. the way everyone is reading this but no one is actually enjoying or has hopes of it having a good ending is reminding me of killing stalking. even KS had some good moments though. the only redeeming thing about this manga is the art.

I like that this story is plot heavy and not just romance like the usual BL. I don’t think the writer is “dragging” the story. Ennead is also 100+ chapters, it’s common for BL that has a fantasy plot to be longer. Especially since this story follows two main couples, both need to have a resolution and right now neither geumsun and 704 nor eunjae and san are there yet.

i’m genuinely not even rooting for kim dan anymore at this point lol. i get that he’s the victim but he’s so poorly written. just completely spineless with no personality. there’s nothing redeeming about his character. even when he’s nice and caring it seems to be because he’s scared of being alone/disappointing people rather than actually wanting to help. the story is really starting to resemble waterside night but both kim dan and jaekyoung are fucking insufferable while WN had two charismatic leads.
i have a feeling the jinx author read waterside night recently lol hopefully she caught some tips on how to make a good redemption arc
