I can’t feel bad about Shima’s mom. At some point if you keep mistreating your kid, they’re not going to confide in you. You lose that trust. It’s good that she at least understands that, unlike other parents who just wonder why their child won’t open up. She really mellowed out, but it was too late
That hits close to home for me, at least Shima's mom understans what she did wrong, mine still gets mad that I don't tell her my plans or secrets, even tho everytime I did she either mocked me or told everyone without a care.
Wdym end hopefully with the many side stories note at the end it means it’s still got a ways to go, kind of like roses and champagne where the side story was so long I forgot and thought it was part of the main story
