The author on twitter confirmed that there is no saving Sihyeon this season and that next season the doctor will come into play and also be a obstacle to Shiyeon it’ll be a long ride until Sihyeon feels joy or any semblance of content feelings :(

Well, I wish this was the ending of "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo."
I picked it up again when I saw it had 30 chapters. And, oh boy, the characters are so one-dimensional; no, they don't have any layers to them and are badly written. The plot is also not something that I haven't seen before. Tbh, I got intrigued when the mysterious boy was introduced, but after reading and seeing all the assault, I lost interest. The only grace that stopped me from dropping it was its style and art. ML is a lunatic, and MC is a spineless idiot. I hate both of them. The only character that I have liked so far is Hyung, but I know there is no point in rooting for him. So I am not going to bother myself with shipping MC and Hyung. Plus Hyung is too good for MC and MC don't deserve him.
I'm going to pick it up again when it is completed. And maybe at that time, the story and characters would have significantly improve, I hope so. This kind of stuff is good when you read it in one go.

you literally summed up my entire view about the story so far!! the only thing compelling about this manhwa is the art, but the lack of story-telling and build up makes this a terrible read like you said. i was waiting for things to pick up after chapter 10, but the writing is still so shallow and cliche (for yaoi) i had to laugh. typical stuck up rapist rich top with family issues and takes out his abandonment/trust issues on the kindest person to him. the bottom dealt with debt and family issues but still has a weak spot for the top no matter what he does to him- be it emotionally abusing or raping him
wonder how truly different this story will be. lmao.
I'm expecting this will be filled with angst from judging the author's prior works. But I'm confident that this will be a good read.
