Ah yes just as what the others said, this is not canon in the novel. There are many things that are in the donghua and that are not in the novel. Both can stand pretty much well in their own. In my opinion, even though the donghua does somehow and somehow not follow the novel, its canon diversion is great as well and for me it is the most tragic adaptation of MDZS. The most accurate one is the AD then this manhua. The Web series is good as well.

I can't really say they are really similar but this story and solo leveling warrior have the same vibe for me...tho solo leveling will later on have sorta romance but it's never one of the main focuses
