The great thing about this manhwa is that we are completely in the position of Monkyeon right now, absolutely enchanted by Nanjo and also completely confused by his kindness and tolerance. It honestly feels like he doesn’t feel anything romantic for Monkyeon right now but also that he sorta pities him? This chapter ending was like a punch in the gut and a slap back to reality where you realize that “Oh, that’s right, our love for Nanjo is one sided and he is a very kind person, whose kindness and compassion can easily be mistaken for affection.” because he is still completely involved with Seonhwa. Just omg. So what do you guys think?
Totally agree. We've only seen monkyeon pov, we haven't seen nanjo-ssi nor seonhwa. We obly got a little inside of seonhwa when he and monkyeon were together for drinks.

saw ur other comment abt how the unrequited love moky is harbouring on nanjo rn is the same as what nanjo is to sunhwa and i had to take a step back cuz i’ve never considered it from this perspective omg… nanjo trying so hard to win sunhwa’s heart he even agreed to the ridiculous threesome in the first place and now that moky is being all affectionate and clingy with him it reminded him of how he is with sunhwa… even though nanjo’s actions are questionable these days we can just equate it with his tolerance since the reason they made the deal in the first place was for nanjo to have sunhwa all for himself. now i wonder when is the turning point of the relationship for nanjo & moky and if it has actually happened (i.e. late night ride) and we just didn’t realise it OR he still have feelings seonhwa which is more likely if we’re being honest at the end of the day nanjo is just a kind person who’s empathetic to people who showed their vulnerability around him and that’s why moky took advantage of that kindness aspect of his by being all fragile so that nanjo will feel the instinct to protect moky like how he does for sunhwa (and the way moky is self-aware too by saying nanjo might accept his feelings because of pity) …. sorry for the long rant i had an Epiphany and i might be off the mark but this absolute cinema… we gotta let the author (and nanjo) cook
Yes exactly!!! Nanjo is very soft for fragile things, as evidenced by his deep infatuation with Seonhwa. Monkyeon has been showing a lot of vulnerability and I sense Nanjo already knows what Monkyeon feels and feels sorry for him. If you read past chapters, Nanjo actually is very devoted to Seonhwa that goes beyond his usual kindness and pleasantries he shows others and even Monkyeon. He does not ignore people, he humors them and is very patient. I’m sure Seonhwa doesn’t want them to be exclusive (hence the threesomes) and Nanjo wants to change that, hence his empathy for Monkyeon. Damn!!! This chapter was a SLAP.
Exactly! It was greatly done because it felt as if we were the ones waiting around for Nanjo's reply and getting all excited just for reality to slap us on the face. I think many of us have been in this situation (deluding yourself into thinking your crush might be interested in you to then find out they aren't). I got that same feeling of disappointment reading this chapter. It's heartbreaking :')

I kinda interpreted it as Monkyeon wanting it for himself as some sort of proof to claim that he is Nanjo’s alone since he is probably gonna keep sleeping with Seonhwa to keep him away from Nanjo. Also, Nanjo gives Seonhwa a bunch of jewelry, like remember the watch, and Monkyeon doesn’t want to feel insecure about all that.
Now that we’ve reached the point that Monkyeon genuinely knows he’s in love, I’m gonna completely raise my standards of his behavior. This is how he treats a person he claims to love. Nanjo is like I think just a genuinely kind person??? I think there really isn’t anything more to it. He’s polite, patient and sweet. Seonhwa nabbed a decent guy and proceeded to judge him for being too gentle. I really wish Monkyeon would do better as a partner, like actually prove that he deserves such a good person.
Uke is right to be annoyed. Seme agreed from day one what the conditions were and yeah, he’s a little naive but we can’t fault the uke for being annoyed that one side doesn’t want to follow thru with a deal established FOUR months ago and has been reinforced everyday since.
