Honestly Usagi was a little justified in his jealousy!
Misaki is so care free /unaware of people that even I who has already read this a bunch of times and knows what happens- am scared!
Usagi is by no means! The best character! He has a lot of faults! But he genuinely loves Misaki/ has grown a lot over time!!
But I’m kind of worried about 1. His jinx!!!
And 2. It’s giving “the calm before the storm” vibes!

Here’s my story of how I found it!:
I started watching it after seeing an amv (I THINK it was “sexy, naughty, bitchy me”) thinking he was a girl! For a WHOLE entire season :-D when I found out Misaki was a boy I freaked out and my little brain was like “Ewwww they’re gay?!! DISGUSTING!”
-Please keep in mind this was a different time!-
Around this time I believe the third season was being officially announced and I decided to give it one last try bc I really liked the story (I’m the “I can’t look away” type) and then I fell in love with the characters and was feening for more and now over 10years later…… here I am -.-
(I was & possibly still am- a VERY naive child and I genuinely didn’t notice he was a girl bc I was watching maid sama at the same time and misaki-to my young self- was a girl name! I chopped it up to it being a typo yes, even during the dirty stuff! I thought it was a girl
-mind you! I also watched that one incest anime where the siblings ARE CLEARLY TWINS /ITS SAID MULTIPLE TIMES THEY WERE SIBLINGS!! -they have silver hair- yeahhhhhh…. I didn’t know they were siblings…… I didn’t realize until the endish but like I said: I couldn’t look away! And was so grossed out! I only watched it once and it still traumatizes me to this day!
No disrespect to the mangaka /artist, but I really can’t like this artstyle change :/ it’s not Ren & Kyouko to me…..l
and if sucks for me bc after SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Long, I see them together but it’s not in the art I fell in love with :(

This is NOT tho defend every single thing jaekyung has done!!
But I think I see why he was the way he was.
He grew up having nothing, no friends, no family, no one.
(The only ones he really treats well are older people, which may highly be because the old man and his wife were the ones who treated him well)
When he got older he became a famous fighter and suddenly everyone wants him! I feel like he has no problem using Dan because he feels like Dani’s using him, but unlike the first guy in the beginning of the story, Dan doesn’t have those types of intentions, I don’t think he can fully see that but jaekyung knows! He just doesn’t know why Dan would try helping him with nothing to gain.
That’s not to say he’s wrong and Dan deserves A LOT MORE of a redemption arc from him! (Not only Dan! Every man he’s been with!!)
This is more of my take on his villain origin story!
