Its hard to forgive an abuser... But when they repent and show genuine remorse and try their best to change, its commendable at the very least.
She lived a very oblivious life growing up (ignorance is bliss, quite literally) and he went through the worst torture, abuse and trauma growing up... I dont condone his actions towards her, projecting his anger and frustrations to her since he didnt know how to better express his pain and suffering... But I understand it.
I just want him to open his shirt and show her the scars. That alone will likely connect both sides without even needing to talk much...
I love this series, relationships are never perfect, both sides are prone to stubborness, arrogance, saying thigbs you didnt mean to, etc. This is very toxic but feels so real. Cant wait to see their emotional scars gently and slowly heal once they manage to communicate properly all their feelings. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

True, and I completely agree. I just think that because he never showed that side to her she will never understand his actions and will take them as she sees it. The point of understanding was long gone and it was too late for it as he had already destroyed her. So there was never any need to understand him, because he had already broken her. I hope that if he truly wants her to understand, that he stops blaming her putting up a wall by doing so, because that is literally the entire reason she can't understand him. He was her abuser, and yelling at her is not helping lmaoo. But I do see him getting better and I hope there will be a redemption for him, to say the least.
He doesn’t deserve any understanding now. Because even when he killed her father Annette was patient for him to eventually explain to her. She was willing to take his side, to sit through with his life and understand a part of him she never knew
He rejected that and instead pinned it around to abuse her
Now he’s claiming she never loved him or tried to understand him. What can she do? She can’t grovel at a feet of someone for so long until he finally opens up which he never would have because he was planning on making her miserable by his side for the rest of his life
Now he keeps re-invading her life under a selfish premise and is blaming her. Annette really can’t catch a break, as she says herself, even after divorce this man is still bothering her and nosily sticking his unwanted business into her life
I forgot she maybe hasn’t seen his scars! There’s a lot of things they both haven’t communicated yet. Moments like the current chapter feel so good to see because we haven’t had them interacting on a somewhat equal footing before.
So they can be more raw and vulnerable about what they’re saying.
That's what I said??? I said that they were beyond the point of understanding and that if he truly wanted her to understand, something needs to change. Cause if he the entire premise is that she will never understand him and he doesn't give her the ability to understand then the entire cycle will repeat.
Realistically, she will probably never give him the time of day to understand him after what he has done. But for the sake of the story to continue progressing he needs to change.
Anyone want to summarize this last chapter in 1 sentence? Prolly will still understand the future chapters even without this, just give me the drama, angst and sexy scenes already

In this rough times, where the world seems so dark and ugly, we need more stories with green flags in adult relationships (30+), gentle communication, soft kisses, cute moments... This is so precious
He's always had to do everything alone. Usually when you look for a partner, you hope for them to be in somewhat similar standing (economically, family wise, level of traumas, etc) to look into each others eyes, and feel like "equals". Shin feels devasted knowing he was never an equal to Jake, he was pittied and looked down on and that fucking hurts, more when it comes from someone (the only closest person he has) he trusts. Shin carries a lot of pride (what else has he got?) and this detrayal crushed it all. He has to stand on his feet AGAIN, (alone) and keep walking (as always)...
Jake is hot and all but fuck man, I understand why Shin feels like shit, I love you Eminem hot ass looking hunk, but fuck you for playing with Shins feelings (╬￣皿￣)凸... Its more a matter of perception. Time did not flow at all under influence of the skill so the amount of time passed can only be determined by the individuals own personal perception of time. Is the reason why for the lady it felt like 300 years and for mc it felt like 3 years bc they both perceived it differently ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Since they don't have knowledge about the 4 terrains, the countdown is their main enemy (every dungeon have timeframe to conquer else it will break) so logic aside, they indeed spent 300 years inside the dungeon which is all recalled by the surviving hunters. (*/ THEORY: similar to an overflowing bottle that forcefully suppressed and by the time they got out of the great dungeon the skill ceased and had side effects since the World is just 297 years behind from their own physical and mental being.)
