They are together again at the end! There's a time lapse you can also see it on WWX clothes. When LWJ calls him and WWX turns around and smiles at him, that's the moment they are united again.
I'd love that but I highly doubt it, the anime is rly popular from what I understand so itd never get passed censorship especially since untamed couldnt manage it either (super popular also) these mediums do the best that they can.
