Well the kings is behaving like a total dickass he tells Art that he will give him anything he wants, some sword if he give up Sylvie. Of coruse Art refuses the King becomes impatient and after the 3 refusal he gets angry. Art tells him something like: I think you don't understand what you're asking for. So I will ask you something as well. ,,How much you want for one of your children?" Then one of the guards tries to kill Art and the King is like. Oh well even if he kills him some will cry and eventually it will be the parents and the kids' fault. Art obviously takes care of the guard without any trouble. Then the shitty mage tries to cast a spell on Art. Art uses one of Sylvie abilities and creates a space for him and that piece of shit. He breaks his leg really badly and threatens him. Then he faints and the king decides that this mage is a fool cause he forgot that he can kill he anytime he wants. He gets annoyed and leaves. Later on they are trying to blow that issue with some money. Anyway those under the king think that the king can do anything he want and that just alright. That's all about this case. That's just sad. Only because the alpha(Yuuki) which some omega was in love with found his fated pair, other omega gave MC some drug and let someone mark him so he can't be marked by his fated pair. to me it seems hino-sensei thought of her as a boy at the beggining but changed her mind in the middle of the story and fixed some stuff to make ren a girl, but now we know she is a girl for sure, though she uses short hair and "masculine" clothing
in japanese language, use neutral pronouns. instead of he or she. authors use often the neutral pronouns. I'm sure the mangaka used the neutral pronoun until now.
i said that cuz i went back to read ren's earlier appearances and the drawing changed compared to recent chapters where she looks more feminine...or that's how i perceived it
