I have a theory. Jian, jin and jitae knew each other from childhood or youth. Jian was in the big brother role hence him wanting both jitae and jin to call him "hyung". Grandfather cannot get rid off jian's mom because of those shady business. Somehow jin wants jian out of there in his twisted way (maybe bcs he knows that his mom is using him and the truth/relationship behind), teams up with jitae for their goals.
Plus his drug issue is weird, jian's mom is 100% forcing jian to take those drugs from hajoon (since hajoon reports his every move to his mom and best way to look clueless is to act like a drug addict whore so she wont feel threatened).
