I feel like it’s common sense tho, like a read in between the lines kind of thing. It’s common sense if you’re paying attention. In any survival or apocalyptic setting, someone always tries to escape or rebel. Not everyone’s just going to fall in line, especially if they feel trapped or used. If people are seen as assets, there’s no way a leader would just let them walk out that’s a loss of power. And if the group is terrified of him, that says a lot. Fear might keep people in line for a while, but eventually, someone’s going to risk it. It’s just human nature.
Maybe I’ve watched too many dramatic post apocalyptic shows but yeah lol.
I think it more so implies because don’t you think someone has probably tried to leave, especially since the very first time it happened people were probably scared shitless and tried to run. Idk tho when I read the recent chapter that one of the first things that came to my mind.

Nope, it's definitely not healthy and urine doesn't have any magical healing power. You can think like, your body is getting rid of things, that doesn't need, with urine, sweat, feces. Another tricky part is that, urine is not sterile. I mean, I heard a lot of methods, like disinfecting wound with urine or something, but urine is only sterile in the bladder, when it go through, no matter how clean you are, there are bacterias what makes urine even worse to drink. If you drink it once, nothing bad should necessary happen, but drinking it on daily basis is bad for your body.
