Gege truly overpowered so many aspects/characters of his manga that it all came crashing down. I’m genuinely disappointed to see work that at inception was so collectively favorable become a waste of its former potential at curtain call. I hope in his next work history doesn’t repeat itself and he learns to not so obviously despise his characters/plot.
yeh.. i had such high hopes for this manga.. but i think something changed this past year about how gege handled the story. after the tremendous success of gojo's character ((like gege is set for life just by gojo's creation alone)) gege seemed to have stopped trying with the story. this is of course just my opinion, but he used to have some semblance of care when writing the characters before the sukuna vs gojo fight happened. its what hooked me in in the first place. but after the first half of culling games arc - it just seemed different... i personally wont be looking forward to gege's future works, but i wish him luck. jjk had so much potential and it just seemed to have become too big for gege to handle..
Did they just decide to skip translating the Baron and half brothers side story? That’s literally all I’m asking for, I’ve had enough of Wolf and Shin (love them to death, bless them and their peens) but I swear we skipped right over the coupling off chapters or am I tripping.

Seme is a miss with communication sure, but damn uke needs to focus on themselves. Like, he takes codependency on someone he just met to a whole new level. Then when he’s like “I need to know the answer so I’ll just ask” and gets the answer (yes he needs to move out because the seme doesn’t owe him anything whether that be food, shelter, a relationship) he basically holds the seme emotionally hostage by making him worry for ukes safety and being SO immature. Drives me up the wall. I understand they threw in some background trauma for him but I didn’t feel like it added any depth to him. He didn’t ever stop to consider the seme and his feelings or circumstances.
But dude is a shit friend. Guy is literally living his life as himself, plus adoring MC and being resented for it. MC needs therapy for his inferiority complex.
HONESTLY when he lashed out at haruka for talking about his feelings on his own looks and how he has to fake a smile and stuff, i was SO pissed. poor haruka loves mc, but mc only cares about his looks, and hates haruka for being pretty, as if the boy even asked for it… he never asked for the attention either bro
Characters kind of suck. Might wait until it’s done to read in one go because the depth isn’t there. The MC is basically a himbo (just there sex appeal and acts so goddamn naive like he isn’t a grown man) and ML is sooooo fucking scheming and annoying. Like this latest chapter he literally tells MC to his face that he needs to suck face with the other “perfect” guide MC is jealous of after constantly denying MC because he’s soooo dangerous to all guides that he refuses to have anyone guide him so MC needs to go away, then MC embarrassed himself by STAYING and making up an excuse to intervene and learns they used to be a pair (dated) during their training days. The ML finds this all so amusing since he looks at the MC as an interesting new sex object while the MC thinks he’s not good enough and runs around looking like a fool when he’s at his JOB. Also, what’s the point of throwing in all the other espers in the group to literally give them no background or screen time, it’s like they read Profundis and were inspired but didn’t have the drive to put pen to paper. Hoping it fleshes out more because it has potential and the art is beautiful but we’re already 30 chapters in…Okay, rant over.

It's too early to create a conclusion. What is shown in the manhwa up to the latest chapters is roughly only 1/4 of the novel. It is boring at the very start, I admit that. I even almost dropped the novel when Andante and Jin Hyo-seop first slept together because I crazily hate Andante so, so much. I'm glad I didn't though. I just thought to myself "At least Jin Hyo-seop wasn't raped just like in Profundis" because I was trying so hard not to drop it. BUT IT GETS BETTER. And Eugene (the guide you were referring to who is sucking faces with Andante at the gathering) will be at very good terms with Jin Hyo-Seop later. MC and Eugene's friendship is my second favorite after Coda and MC. As for the background of the other Espers, they will be more shown in the future especially Coda but I won't say anything as I'm not sure if you want major spoilers.

Oh thank god, not saying profundis was great (I fucking HATED THEM) but the art was wonderful and the world was fleshed out well in both the novel and manga. Thank you for clarifying that it does get better and there is a friendship arc which I love to see with the guides!

Well that servant boy showed him kindness and the only friend he had while he was living there. Besides, I see no difference anyway. It would still be suspicious and the doctor will find out eventually he was poisoned. So either way, Yeonjo is fucked. He just did it immediately and not waited till morning or days.

I feel these plots get too stretched. Man is really going to do what? He technically can’t force shit, how is this even considered blackmail when the MCs have the security to protect their family and have no reason to work for this man. Like if the next chapter starts the whole Omega being forced into terrible situations because of threats against his family I’m so done, like what is the author reaching for? The whole first half of the original story was telling us how powerful and badass he was. Tell your spouse and work it out together, Jesus have yall learned nothing?
People with a lot of money in Korea can get away with basically anything. Theirs y is technically an heir to a huge conglomerate.
Jae in is badass but here he's against someone who is more powerful than him so it's normal. And from the very beginning it was hinted that taeyoon was that man's child. Like dislike it or whatever but it was always what the author was aiming for
