If I’m not wrong, the “aunt” even said in the chapter where they abandoned uke that it was better than letting him be killed by “them.” I’m assuming “aunt” was referring to his possessive lover, who just mentioned wishing he had acted on this. Also, it’s not possible to be the 2nd son/brother because “aunt” + lover are both demons. If you look into their eyes you can see the sign of demons, but all of the seme’s family are angels.
... Their dynamic was honestly toxic and I felt ill reading the party scene where he forced him to piss himself. What a completely disappointing story.

Felt the urge to reread this after so long and even knowing the ending, the entire first half is really uncomfortable/ shallow. Only my personal opinion but the tragic backstory couldn’t even justify semes behavior: the drunk (intentional) rape, the 24 mini hostage situation he had Hosik in after raping him, only giving him his clothes after repeated sexual favors, canceling the abortion appt. without considering his future/feelings and just overall being a total lame.Then there’s Hosik who looks dumb as fuck the entire time like he was never taught common sense or even book smarts, but he sure knows how to cry and eat like that makes a personality. His friend sticks up for him better than himself and that was scraping bare minimum. Again, we all have manga we enjoy and I remember liking this more the first time I read it than I do now. Sorry for the rant, purely opinion and not picking fights.

tbh the author makes some unofficial stories on the webtoon (webtoon canvas) that are closer to the BL story. but people in Indonesia who have not been taboo about it give hate comments so that the author is afraid so she deleted the story...
i also follow their twiter & the author. the author also creates a bl story but does not share the same universe as 'just friends' (the character still has the same name but she makes a little difference so it doesn't look too alike from the character she made in 'just friend ').but fyi actually has the same universe as the story on the webtoon canvas that she has made before (which she deleted)

Indonesian readers are sometimes very cruel. even 'just friends' is already in season 2 but the author is not ready to come back because she was afraid of comments that may be offensive (such as bl issues and such)

I personally don't like how English version of Webtoon doesn't have certain comics where many readers would fast pass in a heartbeat, (there are good ones in eng but those in Indo version are hella interesting to read no cap) whereas Indo vers. does,
but as @torpeza said, which is true, the readers there are not so very open minded, whereas English readers are and give positive feedback in every episode like "the Doctors are out"
Can't figure out why they don't make it equal like they could translate the same webtoon to both languages so that both versions are going ahead with it in the same pace.
