I think its because of the will of that one guy (I forgot his name. I think he's the main developer of the game and he was in coma). She wants that will very badly.
She want to kill the mc because he had clues about the main scenarios that leads to that guy's will.
Iirc, its coz the creator's and her's will clash. She wants to turn the game into more for profit side. But the creator wants to keep it as a fun game people wants to keep playing coz its fun.
I think it's like ready player one thingy where there's easter egg in the end of the main scenarios which is profitable for those who got it first. And the big guild won't like anyone new who plays solo get to their point so fast. If they can't recruit this solo player, they'd rather stop them mid track and hinder them from progressing.

And Grid is already defeating the vampire lords, which will make him Marie Rose's only husband candidate at some point. The other two, Mercedes and Basara, have yet to appear since they are from the Empire.
