Welp! This is supposedly about Cameron, but it also is about how Edgar is also not well! Yippie!
Tldr: Cameron confesses to everything (except murder) and begs for love. Edgar hears and is exasperated
So Cameron broke down crying when confronted by his sister. He explains how this isn't what he wanted, and that he only desired affection from his family in any way he could get it. With Victoria? Since she would never love him like family he flirted to get her attention another way. He never met to scare her by "threatening to push her out the window", he genuinely was trying to help her up. The letter about wanting to kill his dad was childish anger. Even with the dead bird, he didnt release it nor did he intend to kill it. He wanted to stun it and return it to her to get into her good graces.
Victoria said that if he confessed to the police they he killed their father, she would forgive him for all and believe what he was saying. She said self respect and dignity today
Now Edgar. Wow Edgar. He heard this entire interaction, and wasn't even phased when Cameron said the Emarld lover doesn't exist. When he goes to comfort the crying Cameron, he's ANNOYED. Idk about you, but if my partner was truly distressed and their vulnerable side was showing, I'd be concerned and understand, not exasperated with them. Edgar is upset bc his perfect version of Cameron is breaking, and that is ruining his "perfect life". Edgar wants nothing short of a fantasy, and when Cameron's HUMAN EMOTIONS get in the way of that, it causes problems and annoyance for Edgar.
Tune in for next week where everything keeps getting worse bc WHY ARE WE STILL HERE

Gosh dang it this was a chapter
TLDR: Victoria (as is her name now? Or im just still asleep lmao) has had enough and cusses out Cameron
So the police shows up and tells Edgar that all staff are to cooperate during the investigation tomorrow. So he goes to tell his master when he stumbles upon a heated argument between Cameron and Veronica.
Cameron yells and accuses his sister of tipping off the police over nothing but hatred. He taunts her for when she loved him romantically and directly states that she's doing this only to get rid of her "desires". Veronica tries to explain that she has heard Cameron talk about killing their father before, but when taunted she blows up at him
Girl is TIRED. She explains how she truly feels about everything. How she has had to do anything and everything to be accepted as a member of high society both bc she is a woman and therefore only used to climb the social ranks through marriage, and bc she has a rouge brother that she herself has to compensate for. Every time Cameron wears his hair loosely or a giant necklace, she has to fix herself and ensure perfection despite her own desire to run freely.
She has done as much as she can, and she herself wanted to inherit the estate and go to the military, but she was never allowed. Veronica was always jealous of Cameron bc while her father claimed to love her more, he never could bc she was born as a woman. Veronica wanted to do what a man does, to be free like a man is, but she cant be
Even when they were kids (before the romance incident) Veronica extended her hand to Cameron and tried to be a true sister to him. But when she saw the bird getting killed, she was scared off and distanced herself out of fear of her own life.
Hearing all this, Cameron starts crying. Either bc he realizes he could have been loved (familial) his entire life, or bc that was a lot of raw emotions. Either way, he apologizes.
Yay someone got put into thier place! At least for t minutes! Let's see how this goes, im not worried at all!!!

Damn so this is just kinda sad to read
Tldr: Cameron is both relieved and filled with regret, Edgar is ECSTATIC and Veronica is horrified
So Cameron messed with the carriage wheels resulting in his father's death. Veronica knows something happened and is working towards exposing her brother bc she's mad. Unlike Cameron, despite her not being allowed to inherit the estate she truly loved her father.
Now Edgar is thriving. HE is now in charge of everything, and for a control freak nothing is better. He is also getting rid of those who bullied him under the pretense of "maintaining efficiency" and he gets called out on his bullshit but it doesn't matter because he's in charge! And taking care of his "one true love"! Hurray!
Cameron is conflicted. On one hand, he's free from his father's control and influence, and he has the estate as an even bigger "fuck you". On the other hand, he's never really wanted the estate. Such a free soul cant be tied down, and he's feeling the weight of the ropes. He doesn care for Edgar, but not enough to want to stay.
Welp, we've now committed murder, so nothing is off limits in this story! Let's see where this goes (=・ω・=)

Holy SHIT THIS WAS A LOT
Tldr 47: Edgar and Cameron got caught, cussed out and consequences!
Tldr 48: both Cameron and father are reminiscing about the rare moments when they truly loved each other, and on the moments where they tried. Cameron then kills the lord
Ok! So for 47, edgar and Cameron were literally just chilling and planning their futures, but when they were getting a little touchy, the lord saw (because June led him there out of anger and resentment). And dude wasn't even mad despite the screaming, he was fucking ecstatic that he no longer had to deal with Cameron! So to tie everything up nice and neat, he decided to send Edgar back to England, and Cameron to a nuthouse (which if you know anything about history you know those places are death traps).
Oh and June also got cussed out.
48 was a RIDE. Cameron and the lord are both thinking about the past. Those few times where they truly loved each other as father and son, and the moments where they resented each other, but still tried bc the love was still there. But the lord was tired (and frankly scared) of his son. So when he saw Edgar and Cameron he realized that he's done now. Cameron tried one last time to speak with his father and apologized as a son. But the lord wouldn't hear it and let him go. This drove the heartbroken Cameron to get rid of the man who would now only hurt him (in multiple ways).
And guess what kids! It only gets worse from here! We haven't even gotten to Edgar gouging out his eye yet!

Another week another disaster everyone
Tldr: June tried living her life, got caught lacking (a small joke was made about how she speaks like a servant) and goes to ruin Edgar's life. Like this may result in him dying not just getting fired.
June is continuing to pursue her art career and is starting to get slightly sick from the emarld green that she uses (symbolism). When she goes back to the boutique to have her work admired/hung up, an actual art critic is there.
Obviously June tries to be respectful, but since she has no idea how noble women actually act, she falls back into her normal mannerisms which are that of a servant. When this gets called out she is embarrassed. On top of that, her art gets properly criticized for the first time. (Basically she was told that its pretty, but you can tell she isn't a professional due to her brush strokes. The wildness of them shows her own desire to be free so more symbolism).
Both humiliated and devastated (its really not that deep like they were making small jokes and having a normal conversation but ok) June runs out with her art, tripping in the process. Laying on the floor, she thinks back to when Cameron "loved her" and "would always be there for her" (THERE ARE QUOTES HERE FOR A REASON, IM BEING SARCASTIC). She gets mad thinking of the emarld lover, and even more so when she realizes its Edgar, cursing him out and saying that he has always taken away everything she wanted/likes, and if she can't have anything then neither can he (selfish but go off ig)
June goes back to the estate and tells the master about Cameron and Edgar. And remember that in this time period being gay is not accepted, so they're cooked.
Everyone is an asshole! It gets worse each week! Why are we all still here

What's up yall! I hated that apology!
Tldr: Edgar wants to focus only on Cameron and serving the estate, and gave June a selfish apology (IN MY OPINION)
In this short chapter, we see Edgar back at the estate finally, and he is now living his life with pride. He has a master who he is proud to serve (and love) and the clock is finally fixed (symbolism ofc). He also apologized to June.
The apology itself was extremely well done, my personal issue with it is that it wasn't truly meant for June. Edgar apologized to put that part of him behind him and into the past, wanting only to focus on what's happening now. Even with giving June money to live her life, he could have asked for letters or updates
They were a HUGE part of each other's lives, so for him to just say "heres some money, my bad go be free little bird" seems kinda half hearted and obligated as opposed to "hey, I messed up bad. I want you to be happy and live your life, but please still send word that youre ok. I dont love you romantically, but I care about you like family, so I will always support you and worry about you" DO WE SEE THE DIFFERENCE?
Anyways I could be reading way too much into this, but yeah

Ok wow, this was a chapter.
To start, the former maid tells Edgar not to trust the Nobles bc they suck, and just to claim his own legitimacy for the sake of money. Edgar doesn't want that though, so he goes back to the estate (probably without telling Veronica) and meets with Cameron
We see flashbacks of Cameron, and it explains how he has always "worn his heart on his sleeve" and when someone catches his fancy, he will enjoy the attention but constantly test them to see if they truly love him and are willing to go the distance for him. Best example I can think of is how Joker made Harley jump into acid to prove her love.
To keep sane, Cameron has made a mirage of the Midnight Lover, and Edgar shows proof that it's him. Both men are so desperate for unconditional love that they'll take it from anyone who fits their description if it. Cameron's is his pedestal lover, and Edgar's is anyone who will never leave.
Yes they're cousins
And it all comes crashing down!
Tldr: Cameron misses his father and reveals that his "lover" was fake to keep him company, Edgar puts his neck on the line for Cameron and gets told to fuck off in jail.
Whoo! So when Cameron and Victoria were having that moment on the stairs, its revealed that he was being manipulative and trying to get her to drop the charges. This obviously didnt work.
Next he is reminiscing in front of the lord's grave, upset that he died mad. Cameron then explains that his "lover" was only someone he created to keep him company when lonely and to share his anger with. So now that his father is dead, what use does he have for such dead weight?
Edgar is READY for these detectives. He has a spill alibi for Cameron and assumes Cameron is going to cover his ass as well. They're lovers why wouldn't he? So when he realizes that not only does Cameron NOT try to help him but also tries to sabotage him with tools hidden under his old bed, Edgar is understandable confused and hurt.
Finally, Edgar confronts Cameron asking what happened because if hes caught in a lie hes going to jail, and Cameron has the BALLS to say "I never asked for your help".
So yeah everyone is fucked. Thank you for joining us on this week's mggo soap drama we'll see you in the next one
