That first chapter is a huge turn off and thus an unfair gauge as to how good the story starts. It's actually pretty interesting so far. This deserves a better rating.
And I think the manga ends in chapter 29. It's a quick resolution and I don't know if I feel ok about it. I mean, it resolves well actually. I don't think there are any plot holes and the way it ended made sense. Do I want extras? Actually maybe not. Let them be chill daily life and be left to be happy. That's enough for me.

The Empress truly is ambition first, long-term plans later. She's so blinded by what she wants that she's made her son all but incompetent. I think in her mind, he would become the perfect king as he rules as an Angenas first and Emperor second. From what I remember, she did love her kid and her plans started off simple enough. But, the continuous setbacks she's been getting from two fronts from Lombardi and Perez has gotten her blind of all else.
Another downside to her plans is her tendency to look down on people. Those on her side are there because she's an Empress. There's no real respect there. Case in point, she asks for so much from this guy and cares very little on how it's delivered. If it fails, it's not her fault. Lombardi cares for their people. If a business venture fails, it's due to lack of business foresight from those in charge of said project. They delegate so well that their people have remained loyal for decades.
Ok.... I'm going off on a tangent. Pretty annoyed at the arrogant way this Empress goes about her plan. Pride comes before a fall and she has nobody to blame but herself.
I love seeing their height difference ♡(ӦｖӦ｡) Makes me think of Melissa McCarthy's comment from Bridesmaids about climbing a guy like a tree. Hahahaha sorry couldn't get it off my mind. Their height difference makes me feral.
