I'm on mage tower side just coz of her bros. Not because they're hot, mind you. It's just plain and simply cute that they're being quite protective of her. I understand it might not stem from anything out of plain interest and no true affection as of yet but I do like how, to them, her staying with them makes more sense than staying in the palace.
Is she the youngest? I don't quite remember. I just like that they're already in the mindset that her stay here is temporary and, at the end of it all, she'll come to the mage tower. The fact that her father wants to hasten her comeback by killing the Emperor is so unhinged but amusing somehow coz we know he's not even kidding. Kudos to that glasses guy son of his for having more sense than all of them combined.

From the raws, it looks like Taejoo potentially will take it harder than Euihyun. Like pits of self-destructive tendencies. I don't know how to feel atm

It takes two to make a baby and he as much as lost the baby too. Add the already mounting guilt he's been trying to remedy (through nobody's fault but his own), then we have this fiasco being ultimately because of him....well, what do you expect him to feel right now?

NOT SAYING Euihyun will be fine. This is not something that you bandaid over and say everything is gonna be fine. This is a truckload to unpack and I'd be very disappointed if the author handles this poorly for both our leads' sake.
MC is a meek character. There's nothing wrong with that. But years of abuse caused her to wilt into nothing. I'm so glad she has a spine underneath all that. It was on her own initiative that she went to the Count after all. I LOVE how they're all giving her space to be brave and stand up for herself by simply supporting her and letting her know they got her back. Her vulnerability is all the more precious because of it. The words from those she considered family hurt. But her new fam (tho she's not aware of it) is doing their best to make up for that.
