I understand the importance of a mother son bonding but is she really going to play with the kid everyday the same hour of the day? Doesn't she have like idk Duchess work to do? Isnt she busy? Isnt it enough to only occasionally play with her son and the rest be normal conversations? Idk why i focused on this part of the story but it just kinda feels like she's treating Ain too much like a 5 y.o.
I guess I just don't see how this story will progress in the future cuz literally the story only revolves around pleasing Ain. The only way I can imagine something different will finally happen here is if something bad happens to the kid, (like the common trope 'nobles get kidnapped' thing) and how she and the Duke's relationship will progress. Before she got sent into that world, the story also didnt hav much in it except "ain = bad. Must not mistreat him."
I like the concept but I wish the story was more developed. (￣∇￣")

I mean there's always a lot of reverse harem stories out there but I've never seen Empress/Princess x Concubines, or in other words one that tackles ancient royalty but reversed. Like the opposite of Emperor x concubines. Specifically something similar to ancient Chinese royalty or maybe even ottoman empire. And no, this is the first time I've ever heard that book, but if it's what I'm looking for then I'll give it a try!
