First Story:
A Ghost is stalking his best friend. He wants him to confess to a man he secretly admired/loved, but he didn't have the courage to confess to him. So, he asks his friend to tell him about his love.
This story is so predictable that I knew how it will end as soon as I started reading it.

The second story:
A businessman who by chance encounters an ex-colleague. A rush of emotions fills his mind about different ways to talk and possibly charm that lawyer.

As one shot, it slightly better than the first story as I loved all different ways of how the businessman was trying to have a proper conversation with the lawyer.

Third story: Cousins who slightly look alike are actually in love with each other. Their problem, lack of communications or to be specific, missed communication opportunities.

All stories follow similar predictable paths so nothing special

All of the stories are short with predictable plot lines. Moreover, they are forgettable.
Don't expect much.

All plot lines are easy to follow and full of holes.

Weird storyline. An internal investigator stumbles upon a secret meeting and suddenly barge on a man he has a crush on attacking/raping him without hearing his side of the story!

I can not believe that such an idiot is responsible for internal investigations if he is going to assume rather than investigate!

Nothing cute about this!

Intriguing stories that range from light-hearted straight forward to those extreme disheartening ones.
The first story had the an amazing potential to be the only story where the ending was bittersweet, but it seems that it was not complete or explored in detailed like the later stories. A junkie and his supplier.. A sad tale of a person who was running away from reality by using drugs.

Another one shot story explore the students president and Ginger. There are some tender moments, but nothing to say that those 2 are in love.

The third one shot is the relationship between a spoiled student who is in love with one of the teachers who happens to be a priest. He managed to lay his hand on him and we see a tug of war between those 2. This was totally unoriginal, but we need cliche sometimes. In my opinion, this was a filler story and the worst of all the rest.

Then we have the student Raphael and the newly appointed philosophy teacher [ Previously a student] Nuki. This was typical chase between a mouse and cat. Not original as well!

The 2 strongest stories are relationship between Itta X Lancolett and Shassha XMchigamiru, not because of their strength but because as stories that were explored in details and took a reasonable time to pick up the pace!

The first pair: Itta X Lanocellt is about a Master and his Servant. We see a master who enjoy teasing/bullying his servant and how these teasing and light chuckles turns to love.. I have an issue regarding this relationship because it looks that the servant is 7 years old and the Master in his late teens ~ 17/18 years.
That is a bit creepy esp when the master has this aura about him being a respected person who doesn't lay his hands on anybody and is responsible but in reality he doesn't want anybody to know that he has another side of him that is tender to his pet or lover Itta. I think this story will not have a happy ever after feeling because Lanocelt is the heir and he will marry because of his sense of duty to his family.

The last story: Sasha X Magiumi is my favorite because of the drama and the psychological aspect behind each character motive. They were always on edge when they see each other. Shash always initiates the tirade against Magiumu because Magimus'father lured some of the people/ talents who used to work in Sasha's father company.
For 6 years, Magiumi endured abuse from him and his friends and as a result became isolated, until the moment where hell broke loose. The moment of revenge !!
It is striking to see how a gentle person could snap out of it and a commit a crime or an act of violence that is untypical of. Don't get me wrong, Domestic abuse is not acceptable and is not the fault of the kids nor the victim. However, we need to consider the psychological state of the abuser, why did he do that?
Could stress and long-term emotional abuse accumulate and then suddenly, your emotions will blow up and not only you will lose your temper and lose sight, but you might hurt a special person just because you can not control your temper.
It is nice to see a satisfying ending for both of them, but if it was me, I might not forget those marks on my back so easily. No matter what, these are marks that will be stamped on my body for the rest of my life. It is difficult to forget and forgive, but I'm a Human and Shasha is not !!

The prequel to Heart Strings is not on the same bar as the sequel.
We meet the twins Rin and Ren ... Couldn't their mother think of something other than a name with one letter difference .. So original!
One is manager/owner of host club who picks us a man from the street as a housekeeper and you can expect the usual trend of Yaoi.
The other younger twin works as a carefree host who stumbles upon a newbie host and he fell in love.
Talking entertainment; I don't find anything special, but I have to give credits for the mangaka-drawing style.

In every story, it is essential to know the reason behind actions .. That is the Why?
Why did the salaryman start having lunch with the Janitor? How did their joined lunch time which I suppose didn't last more than 30 mins max knowing the Japanese workforce' productivity!
The How, is explained, but there are no clues as how come these became a habit? Is there any sort of similarities between the 2? Shared hobbies for example? What made the habit of lunch together stick?

I can't fathom the transition of this encounter into love, because I don't see any clues?

On a plus note, I liked the fact that the Janitor kept his thoughts to himself and continue to analyze the situation. It is part of his charm as an older and wiser man! However, I can't understand his sudden change of character at the park! That didn't make sense at all!!

Obviously our seme is a stalker, and or if you had noticed... The uke is a JANITOR preferably working in the SEME's work building because he is a BUSINESSMAN.

Are you saying that he did these because he is afraid of the manager because of his position?
I don't think that is the case; we didn't see threats! and the janitor was not afraid of him. He kept ignoring him completely!

    AelixRage March 16, 2015 3:12 pm

You have to consider it this way: Aoki likes mature, well-built men which is exactly what Mizusawa was. Aoki became interested in Mizusawa, not as a friend but as a potential lover, and over a month of having lunch together, of course they'd be a lot closer. Mizusawa was bound to fall for Aoki even if he didn't act like it, his character is a tsundere afterall (I think most, not all, of Naono Bohra's mature uke's are tsundere). The whole idea of the manga is one person falling for another, and the other person not realizing he has feelings for the other until something significant happens. Besides, this is a fictional romance manga, so it doesn't matter whether or not it complies with reality at all.

    Anonymous November 27, 2015 6:05 pm

My thoughts are that after they met with the stairs incident, Aoki had more interest in Mizusawa and found that the lunch habit thing was the easiest way to approach and continue to approach him.

I agree with you about the second thing though: Mizusawa being comfortable with the park sex scene feels a bit out of character for the character type he is.

    alrkitty December 6, 2015 6:33 am

you know it isn't that complicated to figure out the why. its simple after the guy saved him he fell for him. So he pursued him under the table to get into his good graces to gradually lead into a relationship.

and if your wondering why the janitor liked him that seems obvious to he was touched that he found a man like him cute and would be so persistent with him.

    alheab December 6, 2015 8:09 am

It seems far-fetched that a man will spend all his lunch breaks observing another man who saved him once. This is not Cinderella!

it is. It's not cliche but it happens. It happens with firemen and policemen. some women fall in love with them after being saved in a vulnerable situation. and in extreme cases, stalk them.

    Aiya-chan July 12, 2016 6:16 pm

I think it is all explained quite clearly. Muzusawa saves Aoki when he falls in stairs, which leads Aoki to notice him and develop a church on him. Aoki then seeks Mizusawa out for lunch. Mizusawa doesn't reject Aokis lunch invitations cuz he too is interested in Aoki. But Mizusawa is hesitant because he can't figure out why someone like Aoki would want to hang out with someone like himself(obvious inferiority complex). He keeps accepting all of Aokis invitations because he is interested but keeps a distant partly because he doesn't think he is good enough for Aoki and partly because he is very inexperienced and doesn't quite get his own feeling. He seems to be expecting Aoki to get tired of him and moving on to a better love subject any minute.

I find this more satisfying than the sequel!

Suppressing a greater talent is a dream for all artists. We agree that all artists have their own individual style, but all of them share the goal of being the No.1 talent and take the spotlight without sharing it with anybody else.

In this manga, we see an artist who is intrigued and annoyed with an artist who is wasting his talents because he wants to please the audience. He is infuriated with a great talent being neglected.
He aims for that artists to come out of the shadow he was living under so that he would crush him in the end.

As a tale, it is great that we see a new struggle rather than usual Yaoi stories. An artist desire to dominate! The events are gradually paced with no rush! Another normal factor in Yaoi is somebody getting raped and the ultimate forgiveness by the rape victim. I wish for it to be stronger in terms of reaction. As a man who is cunning, Akira should be stronger with his emotions. Why didn't he refuse him? Why end with them being together?

The magical key to a stubborn heart is .. Love ..

What a feel good story. Interesting thing is when you read thoughts projected throughout the pages and to include a special need as a main character!
You feel their struggle, insecurities and that they are humans after all, they love and want to be loved!

Love is a language that can be understood by all.. It is universal!

alheab February 14, 2015 9:45 am

What would happen if an AV actor encounters his high school class president? Both of them were like cold and fire, different personalities, contrast objective and ultimately different goal/career paths.

What is interesting is that it seems that they had some hidden/unknown feelings to each other? What could happen next?
I would say that this is a strong plot but for a mere one-shot ~ 2 chapters ~ it was decent, quick to the point and drawn nicely.
It is quite forgettable with no impression on the reader!

2 lead singers from opposing and rival bands are in love and seeing other whenever they have an opportunity.
Their rival nature is what makes them work harder to suppress the other. However, we see Akira is quite the possessive type who hates the fact that his man is considering a comeback in acting as he tries cunning ways to lure him back to singing.

I actually find this plot weak and I don't understand the reason behind this behaviour other than the fact that it is controlling. Disappointing and dull plot that fails to capture the wild would of music

    aerslevdi May 29, 2015 4:53 am

Actually if you read the prequel Yokan you'll understand Akira's behaviour. He doesn't want the seme to go back to his old ways I think. He wants him to strive for better. Which is, in my opinion, something a lover should do. Try to take out the best of you even if you can see it yourself. Maybe because he is proud of him as a musician and as a lover that he wants Sunaga to keep on his musical career and be the very best (like no one vere was, yeah, yeah, sue me!)

I wrote this observation prior to reading the prequel which I enjoyed by the way!
However, I firmly believe as a lover or if you are concerned about someone, aren't you suppose to support and accept his /her choices. You can have your reservation and might disagree but in the end, you shouldn't pressurize him/her to do something he/she doesn't want to do!

    aerslevdi May 30, 2015 3:46 am

Yeah. You're right about that. But in this case I think Akira is scared that Sunaga may forsake music again when it was his preferred path (or something). I think he wants to keep him on track. But you are right every person is their own and their choices are theirs only, and the loved Ines should support and hope for the best.
