I don't understand the hype!
It is mediocre with nothing special other than the addition of the supernatural element which I think was stupid and not convincing!
2 high schoolers are love. One id dead after a plane crash. The dead lover spirit tells his living lover that he will see him when he gets incarnated. Brilliant?
17 years later, we see them as lovers .. The living partners is doctor and the newly incarnated is a high school student.
The story doesn't end here, but we see another magical man coming looking for the high student and by mistake taking another high schooler who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Then, we see a cycle of blossoming respect and possible between that that strong magical guy and the captured high shool student?
What a stupid, unfulfilling story where the plot idea is disorganized and events are unlinked in a smooth transition.

I think if you really dont like it you can just say so, there is no reason to slam a good story. Just move on and read something else.

Can't help it that it didn't suit your tastes but for me it's something unique so it leaves a lasting memory. It certainly does stand out from other yaoi mangas! I love it~
Don't take 'em too harshly, people, different people have different tastes, when I was younger(2yrs or so) I also did not like this author's mangas! I only came to like it recently.

The agony of love is unbearable when this lovely and sweet gift is one-sided.Not only will the person involved be hurt but also his pride and composition might be shaken as well.
Minami is an actor who didn't achieve stardom. However, he was offered a role where he can become the superhero of tv serial although hesitant at first, he decided to give it a go hoping that it could have a good effect on his career.
Swada a Veteran in this type of tv serial is charismatic, agile and handsome. Our Minami is swept by the man who he saw one night kissing another guy?
Could his throbbing chest and fast beating heart is a sign of the love? How would he approach this? and Swada, How he would respond?
The beauty of this manga is the characters hesitant to share their love/confess because of past history of so-called love. Minami who never experienced this kind of sensation before, Swada, the man who was rejected once by a man he truly loved and 2 strong supporting contenders who get mixed up in this dilemma.
When do we let go of out feeling? How hard is that and can we forget than by jumping into the next person who genuinely offers his/her help? Can you forget this? Or will your pain widen because you will include another man and both of you might suffer because of your pain?
After a year of turmoil of our characters. we see bitter-sweet conclusion for our characters, some might consider that half satisfying because other characters will have to be hurt in the end esp when they are good people to let go!

[Spoilers included in the review ] .. My apologies ..
Emotional abuse in a relationship is real and so many partners abuse their partners’ / spouses love without realizing the harm being inflected on their significant others.
Chicka is an example , he acts passively to his partner’s infidelity because he can’t see past his love for Yuuji.
Some of you might argue his persona , but the reality is that we see duplicates of Chicka everywhere. The physiology of love and its effects on our emotions is strong and nevertheless , it might blind our judgment. Emotions are overwhelming and logic explanation do not seem an option.
[Spoiler ]
Yujji is lucky enough to have Chicka forgive him for his past mistakes. We don’t see many couples who can work out their problems and most of the times, the abuser realize a little bit too late that what he did was unjustifiable and wrong.

no disrespect but i think calling saying that Yujji emotionally abused Chicka is off. Chicka was not forced into their relationship, he stayed with Yujji on his own free will, yes emotions sometimes blinds our judgement but that doesn't mean it is not our judgement- be it good or bad- it is our own. From whot i read and my own personal experience with emotional abuse it includes but not limited to blaming, shaming, making the other feel powerless, worthless, and useless. i don't know about you but i did not see Yujji do any of that to Chicka. he was honest with Chicka, did not hide his affairs nor did he make Chicka feel like he had to stay with him (something an emotional abuser would do). If anything Yujji is just an asshole and cheater but that does not make him an emotional abuser

I think what (alheab) said is quite true. I saw it more like an emotionally blackmail... Chika didnt have a choise, if he wanted to remmain with him he needed to accept al that. If he dosent, the only choise was to fininsh the relationship, and i'm sure he know that, that "jerk" will not come after him and that will be the end. And again that (jerk) he know all this and how much Chika loved him....
Chika i think was on that edge when you don't know if he loves you or not... when you hope that you willl be "that one" and the hope that he will change.
This is happen very offten in reallity.
Well in reallity the end is not like that. In most of the casses they never "go back" and become good people.
Is hard to let go of your love evan if is "poisoning" your life.
I don't aprove it, but i understand Chika.
my opinion so "don't hate me" people. (▰˘◡˘▰)

Sweet , tender love where emotions are boiled in sweet affections. Nishioka was a wild child that both of his parents send him off outside the country for their political and financial advantages. He became resentful , uncaring and by his own admission, cold. We don’t see how changed to this capable person who doesn’t want to rely on his family’s connection to raise above the top, but what we see his reaction towards someone he cares about !! It beautiful and well planned in an adequate pace.
Looking at Matsukawa [ The Photographer] , his personality is not likable as he is childish , stubborn and very noisy , He doesn’t like to show his emotions which don’t get to understand .. we see him getting angry at models and criticizing their poses but his personality is lacking when it comes to how he portrays his own emotions to the person who he secretly admire / like..

Predictable !! i dint expect to end any differently, but I give them credit for not making it long. straight forward love affair between 2 who thought that they are carrying heavy loads of problems on their shoulders .. Piano Prodigy and somebody whose love affair turned sour .. There is no deep emotions on this one. There is no background exploration , we don’t get to see their emotional turmoil . what we see is their desire to have sex and being cute while doing it .. Nothing more

It could be predictable because a happy ending is expected, but I can't agree with you about your comment about their loads. I think we shouldn't judge others strugles just because we have experienced situations that might seem more hurtful or that we might feel heavier. I know that they're fictional characters, but that is how I see it in real life, we shouldn't judge other emotions and strugles.
However, I think what is shown here is that their past wasn't as heavy as their present and the misfortune they had to withstand was related to their present relationship and not the lost of his hand or being dumped by a lover.
"There is no background exploration", well, no, there isn't, their past was used as a way for them to meet, its meaning in the plot is merely a motive for their introduction. Although it was also used as a way to guide Kiriya's resolution, which was stated before because he already knew he loved Yuuya.
The background wasn't as important as the present.
The emotional turmoil was there, it isn't as deep or dramatic as in other manga but Yuuya's perspective and anguish is what we could see through the story: "I'm not a child", "I'm a child", "I can't protect him", "I want him to love me", etc. Kiriya's perspective is vaguely shown, but we got the message.
There was desire to have sex, but more than sex to make love. Yuuya said it when he realized his feelings, they overwhelmed him while doing it with Kiriya. Yuuya wanted to date and have a normal relationship but it wasn't easy because of their roles.
This story was interesting because it dealt with a more down to earth situation, more than other manga I might say. But even if it is light, Sensei did it fluently as she always does in her stories.
That's why it is enjoyable and worth of reading for those who are looking for a light drama.

Life is not easy. Some of us hide their fear and emotions behind their tough attitude and long sleeved/ layers clothes just like Eiji.. His body is representation of his bitter life, his fear or being rejected and his desire to be invisible .. He doesn’t anything to penetrate that shield of clothing .. He doesn’t want to be touched and be in pain.
Then Sakaguchi, who faced rejection and indifference from those who should shower him with love. He lost and parent and was blamed for it. His actions are reflections of his desire to be punished for what happened to his father. He was meant to be elif that his survival from the accident was wong and he was treated all his life with disdain and anger.. He enjoys pain and carve, because he wants to atone !!
2 lost souls , share their sorrow and secrets. They don’t ask for answers , but it their time to be happy .. It seems that both of them was a rock for the other, they were there for each other when no body else cared..
Losing you honor in a duel fight, can only mean that your family will be disgraced can we imagine how would some families find instant relief/solace when their reason of disgrace is gone?
Those noble families were on their edge whenever their pride/honor is threatened. I can't picture these rules being enforced in this time and age and as an example; the UK royal family and the scandals that its' family members were involved in.
A duel has a catastrophic effect on the loser reputation if he survived. It would be interesting to see how would his life be when he survives and his family are aware of that? Will they reject him and shun him? Will society shun him? How he as the loser, reacts considering he is the heir and how would the winner react/respond?
What we see is another angle and is less harsh than reality. Surviving but presumed dead because there is no evidence of his survival ! just like when somebody loose his /her memory and wander around? This is not as bitter as being shunned by your own society!
They relationship progress but is it love as we see the events span 1-2 weeks so it interesting to see this couple with more events rather than being rushed in the last 10 pages.
I liked it but wished if the plot was given that extra edge to be better.
