I think it's a bit annoying because she obviously notices there's chemistry with the ml but hasn't acknowledged her feelings yet and she is leading on the 2nd ml. 2nd ml's actions alone are enough to see that he likes her. She has been in a relationship before so she isnt ignorant of feelings.. She has chemistry with the ml and she is there to be his possible wife so being that chummy with his brother like that just looks a bit wrong/misleading.
I didn't forget how the ml was to her, I'm just expressing that I don't think she is being good to the 2nd ml by leading him on that way..she hasn't put boundaries between them, etc
I don't think she's leading him on at all? He seems to be the one always initiating everything and he is her friend. He's the only one who has been nice to her so that's why she is nice to him but I don't see that she's done anything romantically to make him think she likes him back.

I think it’s more that she’s letting it happen rather than initiating anything. Sometimes it’s important to draw boundaries so that people prevent getting hurt, or at least show in some way to stop them from continuing with body language. If he confesses clearly and she politely declines and it ends there cleanly, that would be smooth too.
I'm thinking it's culture there. It's totally OK for them to date if the prince permits even though she'll be we'd to the Prince. I was honestly shocked to this day lol

Am I the only one that doesn't care for any of the females (except queenie and valentina) in this novel? I'm hoping this doesn't follow the typical trope and i hope it won't involve harem or romance..
Queenie is the mum, valentina is the cousin.
The other 'beauties'in the novel Alice (blonde with yellow eyes, prince kang's daughter. She is actually one of the better ones), camilla (the chick from the bloodline place), and Yvonne (pink hair and pink eye 'beauty' who got the chamber pot).
In the first few chaps I didn't like them because of how they acted towards the mc and just seemed typical. I may change my mind as I continue to read though.

So now I'm thinking that the prince is another villain/obstacle. They just got rid of one to make room for a bigger one. I'm just hoping they get stronger before that happens and I'm hoping chloe slaps the princess ego down fast...
Ok so I'm happy with the lovey dovey stuff and her character growth BUT WHY THE HELL ISNT SHE COMMUNICATING WITH THE EMPEROR!?!??! Obviously she knows and suspects something isnt right and instead of mentioning it to the only one who has been loyal to her from the get go, she kept her mouth shut and then they left the sheep with the wolf

she's just headstrong bc she was meek before taken advantage of for so long. i think its great to see a strong female character like this
Agreed. She knew she was naive and weak earlier and is making a difference. Shes a strong woman now. I like that in the early chaps she stold him the truth and their misunderstandings cleared up fast too. I just want her to be a little more dependent and open with the ml. That scene where she left home to stay in a hotel, that's what I found annoying. I get why, just didn't sit right with me...
Why does she only stop him after she gets her nut? She doesn't reciprocate or anything...
