That stella chick or whatever, is that story suppose to make the readers sympathize with her? Before I heard her story I thought she was annoying and didnt really matter, now shes annoying, jealous, immature,and just..idk but her backstory doesnt make you sympathize with her.
Not all background stories are meant to make the reader sympathize with the character. Its just more details and insight as to why a character is a way they are. Here they are showing why that girl is so obsessed with Ilya and even stole her carrige design.

With all the blushing it's easy to mistake aunt and nephew as future couple but I'm pretty much thinking that she is just so adored by her nephew and 2 brothers, sis in law, and empress dowager. Pretty sure nephew is not the ML, like 95% sure on this, they read more as siblings or super close cousins to me (at least I was like that with my cousins when I was young). Tho I get the fear, the trauma on this is real
And yup, half-sibling is used for siblings who share one biological parent, and step-sibling for ones who don't share bio parents. Often people mess them up though, especially in fan or mtl translations.
