i cried for pandora but… i truly sobbed for chris. as much as this story feels… unfinished, i’m just laying in bed processing all that happened to this poor man. the mental abuse he went through with his father, being raped by his best friend's wife while he was INTOXICATED, and pursuing the love of his life never knowing if he was truly loved by her (even though she i like to think she did love him in her own vengeful way)… to then being left as a widow with a child who resembles so much as his late wife. he has flaws and committed many mistakes when it came to caring for pandora but it’s just so tragic to both parties. it felt like after one wave crashed into this man another one that was two times it size would just crash into this man again. so seeing him sob his heart out at the news of his daughter deciding to leave his side, chasing her out the front door, offering her any money she might need and realizing his time has been cut off short once again with someone dear to him… it truly hurts to witness it. and to just die of liver cancer without his daughter by his bedside just felt utterly cruel but set the reality of things. not everything ends happily, and sometimes, just like chris and pandora, we have to live with regret, the guilt and remorse of our choices.
