I would say that in chinese, they call it manhuajia.. 漫画家.. the characters are the ones used by the japanese but the chinese and korean use this arragement of characters and pronounced it according to their language.. Manhuajia and Manhwaga
They're called dada like author-dada or old xian dada. Dada is a high level respect. Originally it was used for family like grandpa, grandma, etc.
Also, yaoi and shounen ai are all under the BL category so it's hard to label what is what sometimes if the story hasn't progressed far enough yet. I'm a Chn>Eng translator.

For some series, I'm desperately hoping to get someone who is bilingual & likes the looks of it to pick it up for scanlating. Persistence & salesmanship are the best way to reach as many eyes as possible.
For other series, I hope that people will chime in with recommendations of their own. Since this particular series is actually almost entirely translated on NOW-DO, I'm kind of hoping for the latter in this case.
