apparently her mum is this special race that serves a god. those who give birth to children outside of this tribe or bloodline dies whether they are male or female. Because her mum had a child with a man outside of the tribe's bloodline, she dies after giving birth and somehow gives her memories to the child. SO here is where things get a little confusing. Apparently if they die for reasons other than a natural death, they are forgotten and wiped clean from people's memories.
that means the the emperor did not technically abandon her but had her and her mom's existence completely wiped from his memory like they never existed before. When she was giving birth, there was an emergency and the emperor had to go and solve it. He promised to come back but while he was gone she dies and he forgets the child and mother that he was suppose to return to.
empress and emperor have a relationship of trust. engaged since young for political reasons and no love. so she did not mind that he had a concubine or lover. another thing was that as soon as he found out that his concubine was pregnant, he had the empress' son enthroned as crown prince to prevent future problems in case the newborn is a boy.
apparently empress is really nice and treats the mc like her own daughter. the other three siblings are curious about her. especially the daughter. she actively seeks out the mc and tries to befriend her.
a little disappointed with how quickly she forgives the dad after she has lived her entire life thinking that she has been abandoned. Cause there's not much info at all about her mother's tribe so -at least for the time being- they do not figure out why the emperor had initially forgotten her and therefore, the misunderstanding of being abandoned was never really cleared up. and that's why how quickly she accepted the father threw me off

I was kinda confused why the emperor forget about his lover and child, even tho its cause of the nature of her tribe, he was waiting for her while she is giving birth right? He is waiting at the front of the door .. at least after he forgot, he should try to investigate why he was there at the forst place

and apparently the duke is half demon and half human (mom is the demon) but he isn't that strong. he stabbed her to rewind both their timelines and to hopefully change the future. in this timeline he remembers his past and wants to love her fully and protect her well. in the first timeline he was originally wary of her and slowly opened up to her a few months before she was attacked and died. in this timeline he swore to protect her and treat her well from the get go. He was also quite emotionless and a complete tsun in the past so this time he shows his emotions, smiles and pampers her.
fl is confused cause her huaband is different from what she remerged him to be like. and she asks him (or it slips out) that "he wasn't like this in the past". and he was like "you remember?!?!" cause apparently with going back into the past she isn't suppose to remember. and then they do eventually confess their love to one another.
that's all i got for now. hopefully her family sees some retribution. especially that shitty father and son duo

what I really appreciate about this manga is that all the women are clothed and their boobs aren't popping in my face -just a personal preference. on another note....why don't we ever see the mom? she's not dead but she's literally got no screen time. I thought she died before the twin siblings showed up
also doesn't the misunderstanding between her parents remind you guys of another manga/novel? the kid reincarnated to i think 3-5ish and her parents had a cold relationship due to the same misunderstanding where one thought they were forced while another thought they were unloved. anyways she wanted to save her parents from divorce and that was the first few chapters before the story continued
