How do u guys read raws as it’s not in English ?
I use bubble translate, idk if its reliable or not but I use it when im desperate and impatient
(Bubble translate is basically like using google lens live as you read it, the ui is like the little icons beside your screen you get when screen recording, and when you press it it translate it like it does on google lens. It has Japanese and korean.)
The title might strike a few nerves but hear me out. I’m talking about the writing aspect. Mincheol is written better and more complex than taeha. Even in the beginning I hated all the evil mincheol did the haesoo yet I craved for any interaction they encountered whereas I couldn’t care less now when haesoo and taeha interact. I think it’s bc the author has no idea where the story is going. We learn more about mincheol which makes sense as taeha is the mysterious type and stuff but it gets to a point we need to know what the motive it. Why does taeha like a woman who’s 10 years older than him? Did they meet in the past or smt? It’s time to start dropping the smut and ACTUALLY start progressing the storyline.
it is taking awhile to move but it looks like they did meet but never fully interacted, like when taeha saw her crying in the rain when he was still in high school. looks like since then he's watched from afar and got tired of how bad mincheol was treating haesoo and decided to take it into his own hands lmfao, but it sounds like he's a bit naive
Actually agree. Mincheol atp is just a piece of shit but his character is complex. We see how smitten he was with Haesoo and their bond was strong for years until Mincheol became spoiled and sour. I cannot forgive him for blatantly cheating and seeing no issue in himself, taking Haesoo for granted and verbally abusing her, but strangely enough there it feels like there is more weight to fight for Mincheol’s redemption than Taeha’s win. We need to know more about Taeha and see him being honest with Haesoo in order for a similar weight of consideration.
Huh bro ?? did you read latest chapter with your eyes closed ?? it was litteraly shown that they already met before at a bus stop when he was in high school, na hae so don't remember him. Also there are manny hints that tae tae ha was abused in the past , na hae Taked care of his wound during that first meeting made a lasting impact on him since he was a abused kid . Some of you got 0/10 comprehension skill at this point , media literacy can’t be that dead.( ̄へ ̄)
Oh you couldn’t have worded it better “there is no weight to fight for mincheol’s redemption than Taeha’s win” honestly I felt so confused that I craved for more haesoo and mincheol interaction but I truly think it’s bc they’ve better written scenes compared to all the smut scenes haeso and taeha have
God forbid that 1 scene where it is completely rushed made some users confused and that a few scenes of him inflicting harm on himself to selfishly have haesoo attention doesn’t sit right with a girl. YOU have to open your eyes taeha is a bland ML and the author is lacking depth with his character we got the classic rough childhood yet we got a glimpse of it nothing more. We know absolutely no reason of why he actually wants her liek ok they met in the past but we need more then that to fully understand it
Bro he didn’t get off it it was more of frustration. He let out his frustration on ari? I think u might have to rethink about it what ur saying. She never said she wanted an redemption arc she’s highlighting how readers get to understand mincheol more as a complex character as all the scenes featuring taeha is him either being an extreme creep or having sex with haesoo. And the author purposely giving us these scenes of haesoo and mincheol teenage years leads up to sympathise with them literally so many videos online say how could he have gone so rotten. This is why the audience would have “more of a reason to fight for mincheol” as his character has depth while tae has character is simply 2D so crevices or anything.
I’m not here saying we want Mincheol redeemed, far from it, he should go die in a hole. What i’m simply saying is that the story moving with Teaha feels boring, repetitive, and has no deeper substance for us to connect with, but every time Mincheol is on screen, we get new layers to his complexity and brings interesting themes to the story (e.g. strong, devoted young love turning bitter and ugly through time, financial hardship, and mental poison). Taeha is just a character of obsession, destruction, and calculation. This makes it feel like there’s a stronger pull to her old relationship and nothing strong enough yet to pull her to her new relationship that isn’t a facade. I feel for his backstory but I don’t feel like it moves anything along with Haesoo at all, instead it just shows how he’s been manipulation her this whole time. Yea, he treats Haesoo well but I think the only thing that causes Haesoo to develops feelings is the sexual intimacy and what he lets her believe about him (imo not the best foundation for a relationship but hey i’m sure we’ve all read and indulged in worse dynamics on this site). Taeha is the lead i’m rooting for obviously, but i’m craving more depth to his character and honesty with haesoo. All we’re saying is that Mincheol has more depth than Taeha, not that we support him more.
Bro I’m holding back the tears because it’s 1.03AM . The fact he said “let’s ends the friendship here the wounds are too deep” but they ended on good terms kills me. No I lied tears are rolling down my face now. The fact that I feel guilty for wanting them to ended up together even tho the TA is happy with the MC. Like damn I’m confusing family love with romantic rn. Oh god this story is too much anyone give me recs like thid
I just can’t get over it they were more friends but less than lovers. As they said they were brothers they were each others salvation. In order to rely on someone it doesn’t always have to romantic and I feel like that’s smt we gotta differentiate between. I don’t think they could have stayed as friends after everything that happened they were doomed from the start due to their broken environments. The way song rik thought the only way for them to be family is for jihnyeong to be just as broken as he is breaks me I can’t hate him. At the end of the day they were teenagers who were unable to communicate properly due to never being taught how to digest their feelings oh god the more I think/write on it the more this ache ing my heart gets

The way he yearns is a way I don’t think any manhwa character can yearn oh my days
