Snake already knows the full story about what happened at the circus and they did have a real talk but our Ciel still lied to him for obvious reasons. I think he died because Snake didn't want to pick sides, to Yana it was the end of his character so she killed him. It'll teach Doll and Our Ciel a lesson, Ciel needs to be careful about his decisions next time and Doll needs to stop being in denial about her and her family's sins.
