no i mean physical force involving sexual encounters. that one time where he did beat up suha was after suha threw boiling water at him as a threat, which can be seen as attempted murder too lol.

i think what's happening is whenever the victim's feelings in the aftermath of the dubcon/rape is shown in detail, people seem to sympathize with them (rightfully so) and despise the rapist (again! rightfully so!)
but if the rape is not treated as rape, and the victim themselves does not seem to have any negative feelings afterwards then it's deemed a-okay.

in every other case of rape/SA (suha raping jiwoon, siwoo raping dohyeok), the victim isn't shown having any sexual trauma/negative reaction afterwards to said rape, so those are swept under the rug and not thought of as a big deal.

And not exactly true, a lot of victims do exhibit physical trauma and mental from being raped, it’s only normal, and some will be mentally numb and don’t express as much but we can see Suha is clearly happy and functioning fine, having sex with Jiwoon fine without exhibiting physical trauma stress. Clearly Dohyeok has had it more than Suha but I’m not saying Suha hasn’t been scared. I don’t remember a lot so don’t rely on my words haha TT

oh i know that. i was going off on how the manhwa portrays SA/dubcon/rape differently. suha is not shown having any trauma from jiwoon because he is the ML lol, he's not gonna be replaced by anyone. on the other hand, dohyeok *is* the antagonist in the main story so suha is gonna be shown having trauma from his experience with dohyeok (w/ doheok being replaced by jiwoon)
again, like i said, this isn't my own opinion, i'm saying what i think is happening in the manhwa and why people tend to react differently to similar situations of rape.
unfortunately for dohyeok, even though suha and jiwoon have dubconned each other they're never gonna get nearly enough flack bc they're the male leads and he *was* the antagonist in the main story. if this side story didn't exist, we wouldn't have thought to empathize with the character dohyeok.

i personally don't believe he raped suha so to speak but there was a lot of dub con. plus he gaslit suha as well. not to mention, he apparently hit suha as well when they were together? eugh. all these things do leave a bad taste in my mouth.
i don't want to get into the technicalities of whether it was really rape or not. this is fictional, so i really just hope dohyeok and siwoo both get therapy and move (the fuck away from suha-jiwoon) to live out the rest of their lives in marital bliss. it's not gonna happen, but i can dream :')

i haven't found any chapters where he hit suha and no one mentioned any chapters showing this btw. not sure why this came up, but from what i remember the only time dohyeok hit suha was AFTER suha threw boiling water at him, which took place in the present, 10 years after their breakup. also, dohyeok has repeatedly said he doesn't like violence, that time he blackmailed suha with yoon hui's pic, and grey hair was hitting suha, i think dohyeok asked him twice not to hit him. although he uses violence with siwoo, siwoo is more violent with him, whether it's physical abuse or rough sex. sihyeok are pretty balanced in this aspect.

yeah. basically jiwoon was holding suha captive at his place (which suha didn't think was a big deal for some reason) and dohyeok trespassed and asked suha to get back with him. he was annoying suha a lot so suha boiled some water and threw it at dohyeok, it didn't get to him and dohyeok got mad (obviously) and suha said "get out, i won't miss next time" after whih dohyeok beat him up.
