But i do feel her being spoiled and selfish realistic to her position and life. She has no idea about life outside of her home. This was pretty clear when the maid girl first moved back outside and was surprised by the difference.
It's clear she doesn't think about her maid's POV at all. She laments marrying the much older Emperor with many concubines and a life without freedom, but she easily forces what she considers horrible on her 'friend'.
This is a clear case of 'The grass is greener on the otherside' mindset paired with the fact the princess never saw the maid as a friend but rather a close subordinate with the way she made choices for her--not carrying what she wanted.
What I would like to see is the princess experiencing life on the otherside. I hope they don't just show her being happy and living struggle-free. I'm not saying I want things to go horribly for her...but some consequence and realization on her part would be good to see.
The princess is selfish and sheltered, so she annoys me BUt that is what I would expect of her character. She's like a Disney Princess but shown as a side character by someone below....this is an interesting mind-set to consider her by. I can't hate her bc she's just a spoiled young girl...would like to see some character development with her tho!
Alejandro is clearly obsessed with her, why would he not be? She was the only one to treat him well while cursed...all these people treating him differently now that he's better? How could he trust any of them? And Ibee treats him still the same, with kindness and sometimes stern.
So far we have: Ibee cared for him like a mother would for a period. He fell in love with her with him a teenager but looking and acting like a child. He now is bigger than her and looks closer to her age, but he is still a teenager with no life experience and she an adult. Ibee was practically his only option...he has yet to experience any of other sort of love from anyone else. He is not close to anyone beside her and is still socially isolated (although now by his own choice, which makes sense tho). He is obsessed with Ibee and will drop anything to be with her. He is in position of power, which I think is a dangerous situation.
There would have to be some big changes for this to be anywhere near healthy...and the part where she acted like a maternal figure is already a big red creepy flag. But if we ignore that and they got together both as adults with their own social circles and he were no longer completely dependent on her...things would be better?
Oh god and then there's the power difference....the wide gap between their rank in society....dear lord this is a mess x2.....a clusterfuck,,,,this is a total clusterfuck
im so happy to see every talking about what utter scum the emperor is! theres too many "twisted" romance stories that ppl dont even seem to realize how unhealthy it is. if bel ends up with the emperor scumbag i will be so disappointed. like every chapter adds to why this dude has hurt bel in so many diff ways.
If a baby freakin spoke to me like that I would prob pass out. I legit screeched when she said that to her family. A new fear of mine is babies speaking in full sentences like that.
Furthermore one of my mothers friends once told my mother that she had been worrying about her child because he did not speak and he was at the age which he should've started babbling something understandable but he hadn't. Then one day she said that he was sitting in his booster seat and suddenly spit out a full sentence saying "Mother, can I please have some milk?" And she was so astonished because that was one of the first times she had ever heard him speak. It's awesome but terrifying.
It does happen. However, kids suddendly talking in a full sentence usually doesn't happen before turning 18 months; or even two years old.
It's not like they suddendly know, they practise in their head or when no-one's around.
But I understand how it must be creepy, not hearing them practise but speaking a whole sentence.
I remember my youngest baby sis spoke her first sentence when she had just turned one, i remember it very vividly because it was in the voice of an elderly women saying "rest in peace grandmother"..... OFC I WOULD FRICKING REMEMBER THIS SO FLIPPING VIVIDLY BECAUSE ON the same day my grandmother passed away....yea...freaky....scared the shit outta me, which is exactly why I remember it.....it has been 5 years since that day....and she still scares the shit out of me... but tbh i'm not that surprised about her compared to my older sister.... my older sis dreamt of my grandmother's death and drew the dream she had...... who would've known that the drawing was accurate to how my grandmother passed away, on a red couch with a glass of wine and a black and white stripped blanket..... she's 25 now and no longer dreams of people's death.... i'm concerned now... my family scares me..... OMG WHY DID I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THIS ( ̄∇ ̄")
He had the appearance and attitude of a child for so long, and he's been growing very quickly...its a weird transition. I can 100% understand why Ibby doesnt see him as a man. The change was too sudden and he still acts quite immature.
I know that this will end with a romance between the two...but honestly in the real world their relationship would be super unhealthy. She was the first one to treat him like a person, she acted like a mother/older sister figure (even if he never saw her as either). He's far too much dependent on her and possessive...like a child. And now he's 14 and she's 18. Even though he's grown a lot and is now taller and bigger than her....the age is rly jarring. So I'm hoping Alejandro grows as a person and isn't so reliant on Ibby b4 anything happens....and pls can they both be adults then too? Even so she did basically raise him for a short period....sigh
I agree I don’t think it’s healthy. A lot of his actions show that he is still immature(like in a kid way) and hasn’t learned how to handle emotions like jealousy and Ik she tried teaching him that before but it was stopped bc of the curse and she also thought it was just a tantrum. She doesn’t even see that he is trying to control her. I feel it will honestly hurt her as a maid bc the Butler is already upset about how close they are and might just make her leave.
Yeah, as dense as she seems, your comment made me realize if they got together now, it would be totally abusive. The only reason she lets him get away with this much is because he's a kid learning how to control his emotions.
Him having to grow up for a few years both figuratively and literally before she can see him as a man is probably for the best.
OK, I totally agree with him being too possessive... But the age gap shouldn't be jarring at all, after all 4 years isn't a huge gap, for god's sake my parents have a 10 year gap between them. But maybe because of where you come from the cultures could be different to mine which therefore makes 4 years seem like a big gap? The only thing i'd probably say is jarring though is the fact that Alejandro is only 14. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Well, it doesn't really help that a. Boys mature shower than girls, and b. He's never really been in a social environment because of his illness, and c. He's starting puberty and that's a whole big hoopla by itself. I do like age gap romance where the guy is younger, but the circumstances given do require him to mature more. Kinda reminds me of The World is still Beautiful. Where the guy is much younger and teeters between being mature and unmature because he had to grown up in a world where people were trying to kill him.
The plot is horrible even as these rapey romance stories tend to go....but the art is hilarious. Some of the panels are just so hilarious I just screenshot them for meme purposes. And the art is so inconsistent?? I normally don't notice that sorta thing very much, but its so bad in this one?? Like even from page to page? Like try comparing how the characters are drawn, the width of the lineart, the coloring, the dude is esp inconsistent last chapter. He flickers styles page to page....This manga is a real joke.

It shows the Emperor crying..."I did it cause I liked you." I dont give a fuck what his excuse was or if he cries.....he knew he was sending her off to someone who would abuse her. Cry all u want bitch, no sympathy from me....if Bella returns to him...I won't blame her tho...considering her background it wouldn't be super surprising to fall back into the palm of that guy who she loved...BUT it wont be good and I wont like it....and I will hate his guts!!! Screw the Emperor!!!
Yes to everything you just said!!!
Ikr!! It doesn’t matter if you liked her or not. A normal person wouldn’t send their friend to someone that would literally buy them as a slave so they can get punished badly. And it’s no excuse for you to say “but I was going to come get you back after blah blah blah” like biiiihh this whole situation wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t even send her there he’s just making himself a victim because he realized what he lost when it was too late
If she goes of anyone she should go for that dude that was with the emperor (I forgot his name)
