He was clearly either emotionally abused or raped/sexually assaulted by the first queen, ofc he isnt interested in having sex with her(our FL), or growing fond of her.
He doesn't like women at all, so it isn't like he's singling her out, not to mention FL's original self was a terrible person anyway and it's reasonable to suspect her sudden "change." (she literally poisoned herself intentionally once before her actual death just to garner attention.)
He's in the wrong for how he ignored Blanche, but at the same time, people rarely complain about that when the kid is a male heir and it's presented as normal within the story's world. It's neglect; but it also clearly stems from his trauma, and he trusted that Blanche's *aunt* would be an adequate nanny (our FL is from the modern day, thats the only reason Blanche's malnourishment was noticed, if she wasn't affected by modern day ideals she likely would have agreed with the standards of the aunt, considering other girls Blanche's age are also dieting and such; it's the norm in this world-not that that makes it right, but it does partially explain his "neglect".)
Idk, I dont understand the hate for him. I mean, I'd prefer mirror-man became the ML, but that doesnt mean I dislike our daddy either.

finally..someone who understands what he's actually feeling (▰˘◡˘▰) ppl keep portraying him as a bully and dislikable for not treating the original queen better. honestly, they don't understand that when someone has trauma, they tend to avoid what gave them the trauma. so it's understandable that he didn't want any unnecessary contact the original fl. plus it was quite obvious that she was doing anything to get his majesty's attention, even to the point of doing horrible things..so i totally agree with you (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Is this grown-ass man really questioning if he's immature because of some teenage girl's words? A teenage girl who, mind you, doesn't know he's a grown-ass man, and said those things 1) in the heat of the moment, and 2) without full context?
If its this much of a dilemma he really just needs to say "hey Tess, I reincarnated(thats why im so op and why I managed to kill those guys who kidnapped you when we met, remember?) and am actually a 60+ year old dude who used to rule a nation. This is why I hold no attraction to you, or lilia, or-in fact-any of the women I've met so far. Sorry but I dont want to feel like a pedophile."
Or he could just come up with another excuse? Maybe he's aromantic, he didnt really have romance in his past life either, or perhaps he could say he turned back time, or that he just...doesnt like her, and views her as a sister or smthn? There are so many ways he could easily break it off with her, but I understand. He needs to doubt himself because he and Tess are the unfortunate endgame ( ̄へ ̄)

Wouldn't it be great if Tess ended up just being his friend? If, for once, an author decided the ML was able to say "no" and keep it as a "no"? That the FL actually cared about how the ML feels and decided to just...not continue to pursue him romantically? Even more so in this case, when Art is literally a mature adult inside the body of a child, and has known Tessia since she was like...5.
Tbate is so good at breaking expectations(Lucas dying for instance, the plot with the asuras, etc) but the romantic aspect really let me down. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
There are so many good MILF's, why can't art just fall for one of them if the author insists on romance? Like I get Tessia has the potential to embody cecilia and all that, but damn. That makes it even worse considering cecilia and greys original situation lol. ( ̄∇ ̄")
