I really don’t understand why manhwas are rated so high in this website when comparing to mangas
This one, for example, is so plain… nothing too special about the plot, the art, or character development
Sorry to make this comment here, it could be almost any manhwa, I just had to get this out of my system

Honestly after 13 years of reading bl, this now is one of my favorite, I don't need crazy plots and red flag characters all the time. Sometimes I feel we say this is or that trope is "cliches" even tho it's kinda rare to find, cuz everyone wanna be different from the cliches, and people say it's boring but for ducks sake cuz if mentality we don't see this tropes anymore ( off topic but I feel the same with fantasy, after a while every author wanted to be different from the originally and because if this the classics are lost, an everyone is the same ) still, you have your right to have your opinion, I just wanted to answer why for example so many people likes classic "boring" story lines, anyway, if u need any recommendations what is not this "average" just text me, if I can I am happy to give some recommendations so you can find something for your taste as well

personally, I think there's so many bad ones that this one shines maybe more than it deserves, but it's probably me reading too many :)) I do know what you mean, I feel like many people don't understand that giving it 2 or 3 stars still means it's mediocre, since it's 2 or 3 out out 5, and they feel like they're saying something is really bad woth the 2 or 3 stars

It probably has something to do with the length of the story and also the consistent update from the manhwa authors.
Unlike most mangas with mostly 5-7 chapters per volume.
Sometimes a chapter took fucking months or eve years to update with no schedule/information abou when it will come back and the most annoying thing is when you get a good manga then you find out the manga hasn't been update since forever cause the author dropped it or whatever reasons.
How do you expect people to remember the stories that way haha

I think this is what explains it best
Plus some other reasons people mentioned above
I knew this was going to be an unpopular comment
Calm down people
I’m not saying it’s bad or that I don’t like reading it, just that the rating is higher than I’d expect it to be
There’s also the problem that we can rate from 1-5 stars but the final score is 1-10… we should be able to vote from 1-10, the range is better

It happened to me like so many times
It's so annoying that decided to drop those mangas. I am still waiting for Koimonogatari though, can't believe there's still no update till now ╥﹏╥
And I also think people are just genuinely into colored comics more. I noticed that most non-colored manhwas have less readers than the colored ones. Even when the non-colored ones have better storyline and art style, they most likely still losing popularity
I wonder if I’m missing something when some panels show closeups
I’ve seen people post about some parallels between chapters, with scenes side by side, but some stuff is so subtle
Like why did yashiro look shocked on page 20? He has already seen the tattoo and the shock from doumeki’s outburst was shown in the previous pages
one interpretation- Maybe the back tattoo is a reminder of Doumeki's commitment to reach him, especially intense cause his devotion continues to risk his life. Could be all the emotions Yashiro was holding in now overwhelming him seeing D alive.
-not sure of any reference - perhaps he got the tattoo coloured in? been a while since I read from start.
read the note, apparently doumeki wanted to say smtg but he stopped himself from saying it, apparently yashiro picked it up & that's why he's shoked !!???
I love Sensei for that tbh
For as long of a wait as we get, she really considers all the little details <3
